Well...if you diddnt know, on August 13, System of a Down had their last performance for awhile at least. Theyre going on hiatus for "a couple of years" to do other things.

I, for one, am very depressed about this...soad is my favorite band, and i cant wait untill they come back (if they do).

i'm a bit of a fan...i'm not as broken up about their "hiatus" as you are though.
i enjoy their almost demented harmonies. i think it sounds really cool.

SOAD is my favorite band too. iI hope they make more music becuase thier amazing. whats your favorite song by them??? mine is chop suey.

well....i dont really HAVE a favorite song....but there isnt a song by them i dont like, but chop suey is up there for me...its so intense, and serj sings it with such passion....its crazy.

one of my favorite bands. seeing them in concert was insane. sad to see them split, at least they went out with a bang. think of how much material they released in that one year with mezmerized/hypnoitzed. if you think about it, after making all those songs, the chances of arguments and stuff happening is pretty likely

B.Y.O.B. is definitely a good one and it saddends me that theyre taking a break or quitting even
I don't see why everybody likes them so much, I can't stand them. All their songs are basically the same. It's slow, and then it gets really fast really quickly, and then slow, and then really fast really quickly. I get a headache when I listen to it.

Toxicity* was pretty good back in the day, but there new stuff sucks. so im kinda undecided about this

agree,the vocals are horible too, but dont wanna bash in a thread aout them :thumbsup:

Their vocalist seriously does crack. Instrumentals are extremely weak, I do like Chop Suey though... sorta

Yeah i'd heard this a while ago as well, It's a pitty as they had some good songs.
I figure they wll all be doing solo work or starting new bands soon though.

Shame. They have some deffinite good songs. Hiatus never is an actually hiatus for a couple years. The band's done for good. Maybe a reunion tour in quit a few years.
Hopefully their new band's will have some quaility music.
