i wouldn't consider either of the saw movies to be scary. they are very good, don't get me wrong. but they are more suspense than horror.

and they're not nearly as graphically violent as the previews/people lead you to believe. (not that that's a bad thing)

Are you looking for truly scary or just cheap thrills to scare some girls?

You can find cheap thrills in just about any low budget horror film.

*SPOILER ALERT!*

are you serious? a girl had her wrists caught in a thing of razors, another was thrown into a pit of needles, a dude rips part of his neck off after he beats another dude to death with a bat. Are you just desensitized?

I personally didn't find the Exorcist all that scary. And I've seen it 4 times. Some scary movies would have to be Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Wrong Turn, and Hostel. (Hostel is just really, really freaky)

FairSpanishLadi
08-30-2006, 11:10 AM
Texas Chainsaw Massacre - the original (not gruesom at all, but frightening)
The Devil's Rejects (awesome, nasty, and funny too...awesome ending)
Jaws

All are set in the '70's, which makes it a bit more primitave, with no cell phones and stuff like that

Audition was pretty sick. Also High Tension (Haute Tension), a french movie dubbed very well in English, was really good. For more 70's fun, check out The Funhouse. Awesome movie. Dawn of the Dead (the original) is good too. Takes place in my hometown mall.

Worst horror movie of all time. I was litterally laughing at how predictable and not scary it was. Oh and the ending blew.

nothing is really scary in my opinion some scenes will make you jump and suprise you in some movies but none of the present day movies are truly horrific

the saws were more like suspense thriller types not really scary movies i was watchin jeepers creepers the other day and that was so hilarious to me

exorcist-most definately not scary. i can see how it would be mildly scary when it came out, but not now. saw was good, but i wouldnt say scary. when i think of scary i imagine cold sweat dripping off my body and then not being able to sleep. ive never seen a movie causing any of the afore mentioned symptoms.

i dont find any of that stuff scary either. i find it gory and i think it would hurt if it was real. not really scary. "It" is a scary movie. i would be going up to bed at like 10, and not falling asleep till like 1 cuz i was so freaked. and the only scary part in saw 1 in my opinion was when the dude was in the closet when the little girl was sleeping. the saw movies are cool

I think different people are scared by different things. Like me. Ive seen the Texas Chainsaws and I didnt think they were scary. I saw both Rings and laughed at them. But, when I saw grudge in theater at night I sware I was about to crap myself during the whole thing. I dunno what it was, but it freaked the balls out of me.

well. the second one is worse than the first.

but it's not graphically shown. i mean. it is to some degree. but a lot is just implied too.

i agree with FLD about how you won't sleep right after seeing it. but that's because it's just disturbing. i don't know if scary's the right thing to call it. it's disturbing.

i change my vote. 'An Inconvenient Truth' is the scariest film out there. most people dont care about global warming cuz they dont kno anything about it, if u see this, it will totally change ur perspective. i was stunned after i saw it

The shining because its nothing supernatural, its just a guy going crazy. The only really scary movies are the ones that you could see happen,or anything biblical because that is built up so much. The Omen is a jumpy one, you wont like the color red for a while.

all you people saying that you wernt scared or at least didn't cringe at movies like the ring and the saw movies... somthing is wrong with you. if you dont find it disturbing then you have been desensitized to violence by the media, which isnt a good thing.

The Ring and Saw are nothing at all. Watch Cannibal Ferox, than tell me if you cringed or not. Hell, even if you don't throw up I'd coincider you desensitized its that bad.

I recommend watching it. After this nothing will make you sick.
