macs and windows

i heard recently that you can run windows on macs now. would a mac running on windows still not get viruses? or is it mac osx that is virus deterrunt (sp?)

I'm not sure But my bet is it would because you're running windows. It wouldn't get viruses only when you ran osx. Osx doesnt get that many viruses because few people write them for macs.not because the antivirus software.

the OS, not the hardware gets the virus. windows can get viruses regardless of the hardware that its running on.

the deterrent to the mac os getting viruses is that relatively few people seem to bother creating them.
