I know this is obviously a lax forum  but i know there are some of you soccer players out there. I was hoping that some people can give me some ideas for drills i can do by myself becayse compared to the rest of my team i down right suck :thumbsdow
These guys have been playing for years and play in and out of school. I only started 2 seasons ago and was able to play for the school team. So this would be my 3rd season at school and i have no oher experience other then my previous 2seasons at school.
So if any one had some ideas of how i could practice by myself it would be great.

I haven't played in a while. But do toe touches. You alternate your feet stepping up on the top of the ball as fast as you can without moving the ball. I think its supposed to help with soft feet. Try searching google too.

Also, play wallball. I got this idea from lax, and it helps you develop you kicking skills, as well as trapping. It is a good place to practice putting bend on the ball as well.

I played soccer in college. The most important thing you can do is be in shape. Thats #1. #2 is foot skills. Punt the ball way up and get to control it with every legal part of your body (head, instep, laces, chest). #3 is work on your mechanics. Muscles develop memory. This is why goalies will do 50 consecutive offside high saves in a row - to train their neuromuscular system how to react when the ball is going offside high without thinking abou the movement. For soccer, you want to train your body how to shoot and pass without thinking about it. For shooting, head down, knee locked and over the ball (not directly over it, but kind of parallel over it), and drive through keeping your ankle extended the whole way though so your toe is always the farthest away from your shin (toes down). Next - and don't laugh - juggle. Very important. This is what gives you the feel for the game, how you train your muscles to react to the ball; how to send the ball where you want it regardless of the angle it comes at you. And if you can get some small sided games togather, thats how the best players in the world become the best. It doesn't happen 11v11. Its small sided games where you get to be creative and get to touch the ball a lot. Also, plagerize. Take things you see from everyone else - sissors, step overs, etc. This is for when you get a little more comfortable out there. But right now, concentrate on striking the ball, controlling the ball with all parts of the body, and juggling. Hours and hours of juggling. Set a goal for # of juggles, and don't quit till you get it. Both feet, too.

you just get the ball up in the air and keep it there with your feet, knees, head, wtv.

Start off by throwing the ball up, with a little backspin, so the ball keeps coming back to you, and kick it up in the air, the shorter the better. Continue kicking it up as long as you can.

me and my friend came up with a good way for learning one touches out of the air, is we stand on one side of the house with thew other on the other side. you boot it onto the roof and it comes off, you either try to shoot it at the side of your house, or just controll it. (im not respoinsible for any broken windows) Also, run the track with a soccer ball, its harder to control so you'll have to be more careful. try setting cones up on the long parts and to stepovers, popups, ect. over/around the cone.

practice traps for feet, thiegh, chest. Also do volleys with inside/outside of your feet, and get used to looking up all the time,
