I was wondering what you guys think are the best sports magazines based on quality in writing, apperance, information, and prompness. I'll make a new poll w/ more options if I forgot one. Even though Inside Lacrosse is the best lax mag. it obviously doesn't cover all the sports, so I didn't put it in. Doesn't include local and regional magazines. I personally think SI is gonna run away with this but you never know.

Definetly Sports Illustrated. I subscribe to ESPN too, and the writing just can't compare.

My family subscribes to all 4 and Sporting News actually just re-wrote the Romney story thaat was in SI the week before I would sue.

Sports Illustrated is for the serious sports fan and it is the original. SI has two writers (Rick Riley and Steve Rushin) who annually win writers awards. ESPN is basically equivelant to SI for kids and it tries to fit in with a younger reader with its stories etc.

And I also believe that SI isn't afraid to reach out to the smaller sports and put an article in about them. Not just being lacrosse but other ones too. I rarely find a article about anything other than the few major sports in Sporting News and ESPN.

I love Sports Illustrated, especially Rick Reilly's articles in the back, those are always funny, unless it's not...
