I just got the new Sports Illustrated today and they have the Carolina Panthers beating the Miami Dolphins 24-20 in the Super Bowl. I like SI, but what the hell were they thinking when they came up with this. The Dolphins have definitley become a more solid team with the additions and the Panthers are definitley going to cause some problems in the NFC, but neither team will reach SB XLI. Though I'm an Eagles fan, I predict that the Giants take the NFC and the Colts finally make it and eventually win. What does everyone out there think?

His thread is about SI's preview thouh. I thought that issue was totally rediculas (sp?). I know they are trying to mix it up a little but come on? They rated the Redskins #1 in NFC East, and that whole confrence is messed up. And then the Dolphins behind the Patriots what were they thinking? And I don't see the Texans getting any more than 1 win, and I really don't think the Broncos are #1 in the AFC West, but that is why they are the professionals and not me. The insight for each team's best website's are really good for getting info on fantasy players. So i guess I won't get to mad.

How is the redskins being number 1 in the NFC East so ridiculous about that? Maybe the Giants instead at number 1. As for the texans I can agree with you on that, they might beat the bills and maybe the Titans but Im just taking a guess on that one.

Well, if their 0-4 preseason record has any weight in this argument, then yea, I would say the redskins being ranked #1 for the preseason is crap. Both the Giants and Cowboys have much more talent and power and the eagles are close behind as well.

So its preseason?
The Steelers went 0-4? So they must suck too? Houston went 3-1 they must be beast! And the Raiders are 4-1? See what I mean? You cant base anything off the preseason. They play mostly the backups except the bad teams who are trying their new players

wow, just wow. Never talk about football again. You said "reggie bush w/ the texans", news flash, he doesn't play for the texans.

sorry i got two teams mixed up. i could honestly care less who is who's team. Its not the indivdiuals(sp?) who make a good team. Big Ben is not the reason why the Steelers did good last year. Manning is not the reason why the Colts did good last year.
But that was not point. I hate how if someone makes one mistake in their arguement everything else is null and void.

THANK YOU
every thread has a number of ppl saying "o well this team did good in the preseason so theyll be decent this year" and i hate it
and i agree with you on the redskins thing
if mark brunell and clinton portis stay healthy, and their great looking receiveing corps stay healthy then i see no reason why they cant challenge ppl for the best record in not only the NFC east but the NFC altogether

I never said that preseason records foreshadowed a teams regular season record. I specifically said, "if it has any weight." THere is the possibility that they could go undefeated or completely winless. Calm down my man. I was just making a statement and I still feel that the giants and cowboys will beat the redskins due to talent and power, not just because of their preseason record.

I'm a Jet fan, but I'm going to have to say either the Bengals or the Panthers have the best shot at the SuperBowl.

I couldn't disagree anymore. Its preseason wait another 5 days and we will start to determine which teams are good.

Da Bears! Our defense will be incredible but as usual, we have absolutely no offense. We have no receivers besides Mushin who is decent. And Grossman sucks and as optimistic as people seem to be, Griese is NOT the answer. I see us finishing 12-4 and losing first round of playoffs
Bengals vs Panthers in Super Bowl with Panthers winning.
