Is the Cascade CPX Titanium really worth that much more than the Chromanium? Also, how light is the Chromanium compared to the Gait Field helmet?

I pesronally wear a TI and i like it more than the chormaniun which my team mate has. i do think that the TI is worth the extra but you might not, first the thing is lighter which i like, two the mask is gauranteed(sp?) not to rust which has always been a problem for me between me sweating on the mask and playing in rainy games/ practices. and three i think that the visiblity is better because the mask is shaped a little differently (not as curved, if that makes sense, just look at them)

so there you go that all i can think of for now

and i would also personally stay away from the gait field because a former team mate had one and absolutly hated it, because it was always breaking on him

so just make what ever decision you want

Well, I do not think that the .0000000001 oz. weight difference really affects anything at all except what you think it is like. I am personnaly making the switch from the Gait Field to the CPX Chromanium so I will let you know about the weight. And about the TI facemask, are you really going to need titanium over your face? Honestly people. It is really just targeting people who think they need it, when they really are fine with the regular CPX. It's flashy is what I say.

If you have the $100 I would get it. If not, just go with chrome. I have a CPX ti and I like it a lot.

Don't think you absolutely need the Titanium, because it is a minor difference. If you have the extra cash? Sure, why not.

OMG!!!! it doesnt matter! if you are wearing pads and holding a stick, does it really matter how much your helmet weighs? But anyway, why not get the one the most people on your team have to be together?

While I agree that the weight difference is absolutely negligible, that argument is sort of a double edged sword. Why do you buy the chromanium instead of the normal facemask? The weight difference is again nothing - it's likely for the look of it. Just like the difference between the regular and chromanium mask, the difference between the chromanium and titanium is preference. You don't need it (you don't need a CPX either) but if you want it, go for it

i had a buddy about 6years ago first year peewee had a ball lodged in his facemask ... it was a spider cage but still that was first year peewee so...

the weight difference is nothing to be paying hundred dollars for. when its on ur head u will feel no difference in weight whatsoever. Save the hundred dollars and put it towards a new pair of gloves or something

i think the titanium mask was made more for goalies at the college/varsity high school level. so if you play goalie, then get it but if not just get the chromanium.

i used to have a chrome cpro for 3 years and after every practice and game after tje first year i had to shift it back by banging it against the ground or putting a new screw or bolt in it. i got a ti cpx for christmas, the most damage done this season is like, a little ding. even in a helmet to helmet hit i recieved that gave me and the other player concussions. personally, i do think its lighter but u only notice a helmets weight for the first min u have it on and i also like its visibilty much more than a cpros or chromamium which i have tried on and threw with and stuff with one on. but a ti is definately NOT an essential, but, a cpx is, i love the fit of the helmet.

The reason I personally got the Chrome was because of looks. If I wanted one that looks like a souped up CPRO, I would have gone with the black mask.

The $100 something extra dollars is really not going to make the helmet that much better.

If I had the cash, I probably would have done it, but for the price, the Chrome gets you the look without raping your wallet.

Well, I use a CPX Chrome, but if you have the money to pay for the Ti, go for. But I really do not think you are going to notice the difference in weight or feel between the two.

wow that totally did not help and was a waste of your time lol.....i dont think its really worth it because why spend 100 dollars on a face mask that is almost exactly like the chromanium if you wanna waste your money then go ahead but i dont recommend getting titanium unless your a rich boy of course

okay, whoever said its .000000001 lighter is really not a smart person. its nearly a pound i believe. personally i love my chromanium but if i had the chance i would get the TI in a heartbeat. its just easier to keep your head up

I read somewhere that the difference is 6 ounces. I can tell a difference between the two and I love my Ti...much better than the chromanium. The Ti also looks cooler
