My sons finalizer head cracked on the side wall (one of the up and down post part not the frame) is ther any way to repair this with something like a JB weld or something? If this is unrepairable I'm going to let him play around with stringing his own heads? Is there a very very basic toturial that he can look up. Lastly, are players actually still using the traditional stringing vs mesh type heads still?

You could try melting the plastic where the crack is, but that might weaken the head even more which really wouldn't help.

I say just wrap some tape around it. But if you really want to fix it, you can drill 2 tiny holes on either side of the crack, and then tie the crack closed with some wire. Then wrap some tape over it, Eh Voila!

And players do still use tradish, you'll see alot of traditional stringings on the Forums here.

Brandon303's drill idea is pretty good, so you can try that. But, if that or nothing else works or you just decide to buy a new head, I thought I heard the finalizer was dropping in price in the next couple months, but I'm not positive about that.
Yeah, players still use traditional. And it's not like traditional is extinct, cause it's still used by many players, but mesh is probaly more popular in my opinion.
Also, getting your son to learn hpow to string is a great idea. But start him off with learning how to string mesh. Mesh is easier to string and maintain.
This tutorial shows you how to string a whole head, but just use the "Top String" part- http://www.lacrosseforums.com/showthread.php?t=22944
Heres is a tutorial on how you should do the sidewalls, in my opinion- http://www.lacrosseforums.com/showthread.php?t=57523
And the bottom string is pretty self-explanatory, but if you need help with that or anything else just post it and someone here can probaly answer your question.

I swear by traditional, I dont even use mesh in my short sticks anymore.

I think someone said something about using Gorilla Glue or epoxy on the sidewall, and tape over it...Not sure if it held up over a long time though.
