I didn't really think this was worth a new thread so I have a question for you when you string a pita do you usually string the outer nylons when the leather is tight or loose because my pita's of late just haven't been the same as they used to be and I forgot what I used to do.

when i do the outers i have the leathers a little loose but not a whole lot. or you could try and compensate for this by stringing the inside nylon tighter

this is what chris put in a e-mail he sent to me
[I need your logo or avatar plus a link if you want. It should be pretty
self explanatory. You do NOT need to include step by step written
instructions, a photo is worth a thousand words. Just follow the
guidelines I sent in the word document regarding the copy.]
but hey if he takes it then more power to you cuz i really wanted to include text for the pics.

...I guess getting a free $125 shaft isn't good enough for you guys? It has to be lickity split and involve immediate fame too...
Calm down. As MANY posters have already said, LaxStore is freakin busy as hell. I've talked to them, and their email addy's are stuffed right now. You know, posting an advertising for a free shaft to a 17,000 user forum, PLUS LaxStore's regular customers isn't the easiest thing to handle. And it's only one person handling all of this. Give him a break. You'll get your free shafts. Isn't that enough?

Hold down Control(ctrl) and click every image. Once done right-click the last image that is highlighted and hit resize. Resize it down to 640 by 480. They will all resize (may take a minute or two) and your done.

Chris just made a tutorial: http://www.laxstore.com/stringing-details.asp?id=29
And I re-submitted my 6D tutorial for the 3rd time (Chris told me I could) I hope this one gets accepted.
My first one was on another site so it got removed.
My second tutorial I used a Arrow, which is different than other heads.
And my third should hopefully get accepted.
I thought you couldn't make a tutorial on just a topstring, I would have done a tutorial on the trianlge topstring if I knew I could.

I never used a ball in it before and i ve never heard any one use a ball before. I will check it out next time i string a corner pocket. As for the the cross lace thru every hole. There are 20 different ways to do a corner pocket, But i like to do it this way. Look at my tut and warriors tut. Tons of differences.

Search www.microsoft.com (must have windows) for the image resizer. Download it and it will all the resize feature in the menu that appears when right clicked. CTRL click each image you want resized and right click the last one and resize to 640 by 480. (all of the images must be highlighted.)

All tut's of the same pocket should be somewhat similar to each other because after all its the same pocket.

09-24-2006, 09:07 AM
Yeah, should the person who taught you how to string a stick in the first place be bitter when you start stringing for money? Should that person be indebted to the other forever? It's all the same pocket, because Kryptic, after all, didn't create the Pita, unless it's some strange variation.
But, man, this looked messy. I'm sure it was a sort of free-for-all to get that free shaft. Ridiculous. I think that's a huge offering, a $100+ shaft for that, and that's no doubt why they got flooded with emails.

I don't think centenniallax81 should feel sorry, and I don't think kryptic should feel cheated. First of all even if kryptic did try to submit a tutorial, it would have been ineligible because he already has it on here. And secondly by putting his tutorial on the forums, kryptic was encouraging others to string his pocket. I do agree that centenniallax81 should have put some kind of shout-out to kryptic, but he was probably so excited that Chris excepted his tutorial he wasn't total thinking about everything.

yea i did kind of get caught up in the moment, and yes i am sorry about what i did, but i mean kryptic taught me how to string a perfect pita, but with all do respect its not like that was the first pita i ever strung, it took me pratice to even string a decent pita, so i mean its not like i've ever met krypitc and he ran through every single step with me or something so it would be perfect the first time around. i went through some work to do it too. and as for the numbers, they are perfect for the head that i strung the pita in, so theres another thing that i owe to kryptic but i mean he kind of did string a perfect pita and theres not much to change about it.
and agian im sorry to all of you thought i stole or plagerized(sp), especially kryptic.
