Whats a good head that wont bend when I poke check someone hard?

I have a vapor right now on my stick, and its really ****ing flexible. I go to poke check someone and it will bend like 45 degrees. then it stays bent to one side and I haev to bend it back. Any suggestions?

in my opinion.. the debeer wizard is probably u'r best bet b/c of the wider face it has for nocking down those quik passes, other sticks that u might want to look into are the bionic, or edge... the edge isnt as stiff but its deff. not flexable but it has that wide face

i hope that helps

i use a revo and its great. wide but not to wide to sacrifice ball control and accuracy. very stiff. it hardly ever bends. i really like mine.

but i heard the wizard is like "the defensive head" really stiff. so just go test them and get what u like.

My brother has a nitrious and a cyber and he plays D ive used both of them and thought they both have worked pretty good. Id say the nitrious was better tho.

stutter, same exact thing i did. i first used a blaze but it bent so bad, so i got my trusty revo instead.

i know a kid who used the cyber on D to but i wasnt a big fan of it. not stiff at all.

I use to play with a vapor, broke it twice, I don't recommend it for D.

The top two heads I recommend, and the ones you see most college players playing with are the Brine Edge and the STX X2.

I personally use the X2, I love it, even though I have broken it, its definitely my favorite for defense.

Trust me ive used cybers for about 3 years now. I always break head, well not really break them but they jsut get to felxible and takes away from the poke check. It doesnt really flex and ive broken one in 4 different places before i had to trade it in. They are extremely durable

the revo is the best head fo a d-pole b/c it doesn't bend at all when u poke check someone and i highly recomend it b/c it is a great head and once upon a time it was the original casey powell

I have used mainly the edge for year now and have neverhad a problem. I had an x2 which basically sucked and cracked fairly early on. I don't spend too much time worrying or shoppig around for heads though i figure if ihave not had a problem no need to change.
I do have to restring three heads before I go to school though..........any volunteers?

Triton is the greatest head for defense!I use it and it is so stiff, durable, light, and offset.I would either get a Triton or a Wizard, which is my back-up.

The heck...A g-force is not a defense head.It is too pinched, and it gets way too flimsy after a while.Just like cyber-you :dummy

so i will have to insult you on both the g-force is an awsome head and a GOOD defence men should be able to catch with ne head i am sorry you do not possess the talent to control a pinched head but then again...i shouldnt make fun of the less coordinated i played d with a g-force for this year and it barly bent or was as "flimsy" as you said....sorry i had to attak you like this but you did call me a dummy b4 you go insulting ne one again...read up...

Okay,I was wrong,G-Force is a great head for defense.Oh,and The person who said I was less coordinated-UP YOURS-I am The best defenseman on my team,I have the best handling on the team, and now,I admit it,I like the g-force!sorry 4 upsetting you,and calling you dumb.:argue

wildcatdefense
07-20-2003, 01:01 AM
At least I don`t need a head to do the handling for me,I can handle by myself, but I SHOULDN`T insult a person who needs a head to help him.But don`t ya think it is kinda pitaful YOU can`t handle a ball without a pinched head?

P.S.-:bart

My one reason for this is that a Bionic is what I used to use,and it was so flimsy-don`t no why-but the Gforce is basiclly a bionic with a better pinch.and I think the same thing happens with gforce as it did 2 my bionic.also, people on my team HATED it bcause it got to be real flimsy after a couple of practices.

I would reccomend the Wizard by DeBeer...heard thats one of the best D heads and I personally like it. Most of the D men I know use it.

well bud (wildcatDefence) ive had mine for half a season not just a coupla practices so far its proven strong and sturdy not flimsy but who knows kids on your team said they went weak maybe they did and mine was default and instead of being weak as should have been it was strong lets end it here though i have no doubt that you might have seen flimsy ones mine however is not

Your right.I have seen my share of great STX heads and bad ones.I shouldn`t base one bad experience on a head, that could have it`s good points and bad points(stiff ones, flimsy ones).Sorry.
