Congratulations Tony, even if the idea is sort of corny.
For those who don't subscribe, our very own Tony (yes, the super-mod)
got the IL pick of the month in the Brine Innovation contest.
His idea was a new MP glove, the Vent, with a built in fan. He made good use of the usual Brine marketing scheme (I quote, "Have you ever wished you could be as cool as Mikey Powell? Now you can, with the new BRINE VENT MP Gloves!"),
and (I think) made a subtle reference to the IL ad, "Blank Blank subscribes to Inside Lacrosse, do you?"

Although the drawing is slightly lacking (no offense), he makes up for it with the sweet bleeding MP logo and awesome beard.

Im submitting an amazing new head design soon...

Wow Tony, you know just how to impress Brine. Make a total gimmick (but it might be a good gimmick, I don't know) and then stick Mikey's name on it.

Yeah I really don't get that whole contest thing, nothing they pick is actually doable, like the van in the gloves is cool but not actually doable. I donno its kinda stupid if you ask me.

It looks as though the picture was drawn by a 3rd grader in crayon...No offense Tony, of course.

That contest is the biggest joke ever.

Not a single thing they have picked has really been something real and marketable. I dont get it.
The helix shaft was VERY marketable. Using raised textures on a shaft to improve players' technique on faceoffs and other skills? It's been proven in other sports. The guy who created it (nearly 30, I believe) even used some photoshop to create a realistic shaft design. It looked great.

Otherwise, yes, ridiculous ideas.

hey it was colored pencils! Get it right!

and what are you talking about, my drawing skills are out of this world.

Just kidding of course. I got bored on a rainy day and came up with it. I knew it'd catch their eyes and it worked.

I wish that they would find a way to make those, I know it's probably not possible but it would be awesome.

what do you get for winning?

Mrmccoolsatool

a brine stick of your choice, and you can choose to get it autographed by any of the R&D team.

That's because they publicize a bunch of stupid gimmicky ideas so they can steal the really good ones that have been submitted, and when the people complain that their idea was stolen, they can't prove it because no one else has seen it.

They already claim rights to anything you send in to them, so they can market the winners as well without fear of prosecution

What complete stick setup did you decide to go with? Wait, did you win like the major contest winner as in 5,000 dollars to spend on brine stuff? Or just the regular one where you get to choose your own stick?

Okay guys to the thing about the publicization on Brine I agree... this is my entree and I got no word from them on it... If you are a goalie you know that toe shots can screw your toe pretty bad... this idea is a makeable cleat... unlike the MP Fan gloves... no offense to Tony... good job i wouldnt ever think of that. but thats mine... any comments on mine?

That is a very sick idea. I bet carbon fiber would get their attention better than steel though. PS if you use the CF and they take it you owe me.

Does anyone know a way to see the past selections from the competition? And you don't automatically win a stick, your choice has to be selected out of everyone that won and than you win like $2,500 worth of stuff.

everyone that was shown in IL won a stick. At the end of the time period, they pick the best one and then that person also gets a 5000 shopping spree in brine gear.

yeah, the idea was not a duct tape pocket. the caption i wrote explains that the idea is a rubber pocket that can be premade and restrung so that you have an instant good pocket. gimmicky, maybe. but then again there's the trakker pocket. so think what you want, i'm getting a voyce head.

Yeah. Brine is really planning on stealing the submitted ideas.

They were also behind 9/11.

those were THE dumbest ideas ever. every single one of them i wouldnt buy, ever.

Brines new scheme "finding your game" is way better in my opinion.
