PERFECT THREAD! MY FIRST GOAL WAS TONIGHT!

i just started playing lax junior year and hey, i wasn't that good. I made varsity but stick skills were something else entirely for me. Tonight i had my first fall league game, got the ball about 15 yards on the point and just ripped it underhand. Top shelf, goalie had no chance ;p.

Then i scored another on a dilapidated question mark dodge with a little jump at the end of it.

Yeah, last varsity season i could barely catch and throw with both hands, and i busted my butt this whole summer to get to this level. Such a good feeling knowing that you're the only one who made yourself better. But yeah, i just walked back to the wing like it was common...because it's gonna be happening a lot this season ;p

My first goal was in a scrimmage (if that counts), it was right after a groundball, it was cool, it wasn't anything mager though since it was just a scrimmage, but it was kinda a confidence booster.

when I first started lax I was like scared of the ball.actuallt i just didnt want to get hurt but finnaly i had none to pass it to so i ran then that got me not scared then a few games later I could use all my skills and I just got a pass and shot it I was so happy..but that was 6 years ago so dont think im a bad player because I was scared or anything lol

Umm it was in box when I actually use a short pole and umm i got off the bench with no pressure and my teammate passed it to me then i was so shocked i just riffled it under the goalies arm from the bench. After that I guess i had the stupidest look on my face because I wasnt sure what was going on.

I was sort of disappointed because it wouldn't have been a goal if the goalie wouldn't have sucked. It bounced under his legs while he was crouching down. I guess I was hoping for the top right corner from the 50.

Well i scored my first goal in my first seson on the first game in the first play...
I felt kinda dumb though because it kinda like fel into my stick and then the goalie tripped and i rolled it in... :idea:

but then i went on to score 27 more goals that season but thats a different story...;-p

i didn't do anything. i just scored and then turned around and started walking back to the faceoff X. i got a few high fives and chest bumps, but that's it.


but that's what i do after every goal i score...

In a real game it was this year. I play defense so I got the ball and brought it about to the other teams restraining line then ripped a sidearm bouncer. Simple fist pump and a victory yell.

ya mine wus my very first game and the very first offensive play and it was the first goal of thee season. it felt good cuz i intercepted a pass from the goalie round mid field and ran all the way and fired a shot to non stick side upper right haha it was greatest feeling ever

It was in my second season in a summer league way back in 5th grade. I was the smallest on my team, and most of my team was on my spring team too. So I almost never got the ball, being tiny and inexperienced, but actually not too bad. I got the ball on a desperation pass and ripped a shot and scored. Only got 3 goals that whole season. Next season I averaged 3 goals a game. Next season, about 2.5.

I think it was my second game, during my first season, which was 7th grade. One of the midfielders on my team got me the ball when I was wide open. I just threw it, didn't bother to aim it, and it went past the goalies hip. Pretty dang sweet.

haha my first goal was in a little tournament in 8th grade and we were beating a first year team like 10-1. and i didnt really do anything, i was tought in sports early to act like you've scored before even if you havent (absolutly nothing wrong iwth celebrations if thats how it came out)

I was juming around and had the biggest smile on my face.

Some one took a shot and he let a rebound go to me (crease attack) and I just side armed it right in the middle of the net.

my first goal was in summer league this past summer. everyones man was stuck to them like glue so i just bolted up the right side and shot it right as a defender rocked me to the ground.

A bounce shot to top left followed by me doing the robot and a few crotch thrusts.

At the time I thought I was king. In retrospect I'll never robot or crotch thrust again.

well i play D and we were playing against a team we had lost to twice before and so the score was 2-2. i picked up a groundball and ran it up field and got about to the restraining line and stopped like i was goin to pass and the defender moved his stick to the other side so i prolly took the most akward looking shot and it hit top right corner and i was waiting for the goalies stick to be where i shot and it like never went there. I like jumped up and was like yeah then a few high fives. i prolly wouldnt have been as excited if it didnt put us up one to win the game.

maybe 9 years ago in novice box in my first year ever i remember i was just standing around the middle of the floor when the other team was running it up then he dropped it i picked it up kinda trotted ( i had no idea how to craddle or anything ) then just threw it at the net and it went in. i was so exited i talked about it the entire way home

the earliest one i remember is coming from behind the goal and putting it past the goalie in 7th grade. I was so suprised i don't even think i registered that i scored a goal.

My first goal, I caught the ball about 10 feet up from the crease, turned and shot. I have no idea where it went, but I only remember that it probably wasn't pretty. It happened so quickly that I was stunned. And everyone just walked up and we exchanged fist pounds.

I was even more stunned when I scored again the next minute...

It was all uphill from there... Haha, just kidding.

I was in 6th grade and it was our first game of the season and my first time ever playing. I remember that we had to have 3 passes before we could score and I caught the third past in the midfield, ran and scored the goal. I remember being so excited and then all of my teammates ran up to me. The end. haha

..i've never scored once. :crying: i started playing in my junior year and have been trying to get better, since i played in like two varsity games and we don't have a jv program to speak of. I can shoot really well, just never get the opportunity and i need to improve my dodges a bit haha... tomorrow i have a game and if i plant one you'll all know :nofear:

My first college goal, I didn't get to celebrate. I started to, but then I got tackled from behind by my goalie who came sprinting up the field to show some "love." It was definately a memorable moment.

Similarly, my spring season this year I had a big drought until our second to last game (or maybe third, I dunno) I hit a quickstick off a fast break. As releif washed over me, my current goalie (well one of them) who was playing attack this game decided to pick me up and nearly gave himself a hernia.

My first goal - a wonderful memory - my sophomore year in HS...

I am new to the game, but I know basketball. I cut to my attackman, I put my stick by my ear, the attackman throws a solid pass to my head, I do not know how to compensate for a ball passed like this and the ball bounces off my helmet and into the goal. You would have thought I won the game in the last second of the national championship. I was so happy.

Well my first goal was at a tourney, our middie was dodging, dropped the ball but didnt know it, I picked it up then shot and scored, the sad part is the ref didn't count it because there was a flag before I shot, and he didnt blow the whistle

ah my first goal, i was right on the crease caught a feed from X stuck the top right corner, and then got smacked on my butt by a defenseman, i didnt even know i had scored until i got up and everyone was like dood you stuck that corner, and then i pulled fist pump

my first goal actually came in a pickup game. It was nasty too, i did a lil air jordan on the goali to get it in over him. I don't really remember celbrating, just got a lot of appalus from my teammates.

I did the very first thing that i was taught to do whenever you score a goal. Sword in the hilt and the run around the goal and back to your position, its the MOST baller move eva.

well i was ineligible for failing gym for the first 6 games my first year playing jv. I was like the best player on the team too because i was the only one who really played. So my first game back i scored 2 goals and on my first one i jumped on the kid that fed it to me. After that i got moved to varsity. It was so chill.

It was 4 years ago at a tournament in chapel hill. My team mates fed me right on the crease and i put it in.I was all happy inside and my friends jumped on me. And my parents were proud. It was a good day.

My first "goal" was in summer league. I felt so bad afterwards because I wound up ripping it from about 4 yards out (in my defense, it was maybe the 3rd time I'd ever touched a shorty) and it grazed my protege's facemask.

I've scored twice in practice since switching to fogo/d-mid though. Haha, I pumped my arm like I just single handedly won the national championship in OT and immediately felt dumb, haha.

my first was when i started playing atk...when i was 10. i got the ball and did a roll dodge on a defender and faked him out badly, then went for the shot and put it 5 hole...
