attack needs to be behind the restraining line on face offs until posession is called then they can move anywhere in the half. they can even move into the defense as long as a mid or d stays back. at least 4 guys on the d side and at least 3 guys on the attack side.

you can only go to half feild on either side so if u are shooting on the goalie in the "attack area" side then u cant go to the grey part but if ur shooting where it says "defensive area" u can

In regards to that diagram of the field, that gray area constitutes your team's defensive side, which as an attackman you cannot go into UNLESS a middie or another player comes into the attack side of the field to make sure your team remains onsides. Otherwise during normal play, going into that area without another teammate stepping over midfield into your offensive side of the field will result in an offsides penalty.
The only time you are allowed out of the restraining box before a face-off is if your team is facing off man down. In this case, one attack is allowed to play up on midfield (almost always as a wing) but may not cross over midfield at all during the face (unless another member of your team remains on your attack side) so that if possession is gained by the other team, your team will still be onsides.
