Does anyone have advice on what to do to become an all around better long pole midde. I have recently started playing the position and i was wondering if there are any specific drills or areas i should focus on. Is there anything that makes a D middie better then another. What should i do to get better

I currently: lift, run cross country, did alot of 1 on 1's during the summer with attackmen and practice on the wall

Definately work on ground balls. Those are one of the most important things a lsm needs to go over. Some other things to work on are being able to make good, sometimes long outlet passes (sometimes on the run), and playing solid 1v1 defence.

footwork drills like agilities will definitely help, that and being able to throw and catch right and left handy, that and maybe help in the transition game, and faceoffs
