If you know who mario from the conejo valley starz is, he is not with the team anymore. It is now ran by Sean Lidsey[LA riptide middie] and assistant coach Jay Piefer [New Jersey Pride goalie]. Mario was such a great coach, but now im not even sure if im going to tryout any more. Is anyone else going to trying out??? Over the summer the team was very unorganized and alot of the people on the team didnt even care about the team so nobody showed up to games / practices / the sonoma shootout. I just want to play for a team that actually cares and just doent blow it off. does anyone else feel this way???

I'm gonna try out. This should be much more organized, and Sean is an amazing coach and player, and knows the game really well. I know. He coached us to a League Championship, and second place in the state :worship: .

It should still be fun, especially with Hochstad running the whole thing. He knows how to get things done. Most of the kids at Oak Park are trying out, you should too...there won't be many goalies there.

Oh yea Alec, by the way, Chad Costello just got back from the Top 205 recruiting camp, and got named MVP of the team. Looks like the next All American from SCLA is coming from OP this year :agree: . I think hes trying out too.

ok, its sooo dumb this year tho. like LA starz is now hollywood starz, theres only one elite team between the both of them and now i basically on highschool again because some goalie from the California state team tryied out. plus me and decar and taylor.

Very true, he coached our HS team and reallly made a difference.

Well, I made the HS team. I'm happy with myself except....Canyon Grove made the Elite team?!!?!?! WTF?!

i just think its dumb this year. and i have wrestling so thats gunna get in the way and i dont want it to be like last summer where 5 people show up to games. They prolly wont move me up to elite untill its too late to get recruited. Mario told me i was supposed to be on elite this fall. I can prolly just train on my own for now.
