Check out the backbreaker video on this site

In my opinion, I think it would be easier with a whippy stick, but that's just me.

ive tried a back breaker and it litterally does break your back if your not flexible. i was running in(it was indoor lax), and right at the crease, i tried it to test out the hold in my new pocket. then, i heard a small crack as i was doing it and then i landed flat on my back. its really hard IMO. i guess good hold wouldnt hurt but the best thing is flexibility. also, long arms wouldnt hurt either. i tend do it, but the ball hits my but really hard.

Whip does help you but it is not necessary....A back breaker is completely for show obviously...your shot will not be any faster or harder the only benefit I think would be that the goalie isn't read/anticipating that & it throws them off guard.....It helps tho it's hard while you're running to lean up on your tippies toes as you're doing it.....Dunno why but when I first learned to do it I could only do it if I stood on my toes

you have to almost get up on your toes to make sure you don't hit yourself in the butt.

this shot was actually possible when lacrosse had fast breaks and more one-on-ones with the goalie..

I realize I'm resurrecting this thread, but does anyone have any videos of this? I still have yet to see one done.
