For some reason, whenever i shoot on the run overhand the ball always goes low. Now if i release it sidearm, it always is in the upper portion of the goal. I thought it wass trange, anyone know why this happens?

Also, how can you effectively shoot hard without stopping or hopping into a planted shot? If i keep running through my shot is noticably weaker. Any advice?

well when i shoot on the run, i dont usually aim for top corners cause that means u have to bring ur stick down lower to get a faster shot(if ur running through the crease and hoping to shoot sidearm, your getting laid out or the ball knocked out)---so do bounce shots or hit the sides. as for the whole shooting low thing, maybe your following through too much--that might sound strange but if your stick throws and shoots without a lip any other time, i cant think of anything else

Hers a few tips that really helped me

1- Keep your arms seperate. This basically means that your arms should be working independently from the rest of your body. It sounds obvious but a lot of people can only shoot at 1 point in their running motion. Keep your arms out and away from your body so that you can shoot anytime instead of having to wind up first.

2- Make sure youre squaring your hips. Turn your shoulders and hips toward the net while youre shooting to maximize your power.

3- Run towards the net. If youre running down the alley and want to take a shot make sure youre not tailing away from the net.

Learn to snap the ball out very quickly and fast and while your on the run your shots go where yuo want them ( only if your a great snap shooter) and as for the over hand shot i think it might just be you or your head if it has a god deal of hold or whip.

you have to go more 3/4 if you wanna hit the top corners and release the ball earlier when shooting

You have to turn your hips just like a normal shoot but keep runnig then expolde as you shoot

I like to take a powerful step and hop a little, otherwise, i just try to twist my core around and bring the stick around as fast as i can here are some videos that may help.

when i'm on the run i usually just throw overhand..but i put an extra hard flick in my bottom wrist so the ball goes low but not bouncing off the ground

another thing to max out your shot speed would be make sure you are backpeddling out of your shot... so when you follow through, you should be running backwords once you release... if you watch the best shot's on the run, they always do this... i.e. Kyle harrison

that makes sense because you are fully untwisting your core.

i dont think that makes sence cause you dont want to stop your momentum, you should keep running through your follow through i think

ive clocked my standing shots at 76 and my running shots at 62, mainly its just using enough force, i usually just shoot straight from the cradling position(one of my pet peeves is hesitating or slowing down when in control of the ball). when i run tho it usually goes straight between the goalies legs instead of the corners, but it still works just as good. id try to get a good angle so ur not shooting almost perpendicular.

if your shooting while sprinting across than take a sidearm but if you have time try to slightly plant your inside foot while your back is facing the goal then completely rotate your hips and shoot over hand while you are still running.

you better be prepared to get layed out after you shoot then

I went and practiced at school and everything went really well. At first i was stopping after taking my shot and it wasn't going that fast, but i pushed myself to keep running with the shot, squaring my hips towards the goal as i'm shooting and i saw a noticable improvement in accuracy and speed.

Any other quick tips?
