clarkson is a very specialized school. don't go there unless you're 100% positive about what you want to do. talk to stegmakk about the lax program there.

New York University-Stern, MIT-Sloan, UMichigan-Ross, and Berkeley-Haas (and Wharton of course) are generally known as the "prestigious" business schools in the nation. If you graduate with good grades from these schools you are in good standing to land a great job on wallstreet. The thing is they are incredibly competitive to get into. Look at Indiana-Kelley if you want a top 10 bschool that isn't as competitive.

someone i know said that the only advantage you get from going to a higher ranked school is the network. you learn all the same principles of your major no matter where you go. i think he would know since he got a harvard mba.

its very true. The hardest job to get is the first one out of college. After that, it is all job performance and your transcript means nothing...

I have some friends that are in teh Indiana-kelly business school. Indiana is not a particularly competetive college, but the business school is great.

I'm nor ro good with colleges since I'm still in high school, but I think RIT has a pretty good buisness program, my coach went there buisness now he owns like 2 reasturants, and it has a decent lacrosse team.

It is a big advantage but its not the only advantage. Top companies (businesses, law firms, etc) will only recruit from top schools. Sad truth is, unless you go to a school that a company actively recruits in, landing that first job is almost impossible. Companies like goldman sachs, lehman bros, etc. will only take a few kids from even the top schools.
