I took it last year.
The best way to study truly depends on your teacher's style.
I recommend reading over the book and using the rpovided study guides ( if provided ).

Try and read the chapter once for a first time to grasp the general idea of whats going on. Then go back and take really good notes. Then read your notes to see if you understand. Then, revise them so you do. And you can use those from then to study. Work's for me, on the two quizzes we've had 18 outta 20

I'm takin AP World right now and the way I succeed is sit next to one of the smartest people in the class. Did you guys have to read a book called Guns, Germs, and Steel over the summer.

History is all memorization. Don't even think of trying to bs your way through the AP test, even if you are very smart. You either know the material or you don't. Start stuyding, haha

Agreed. You can kind of BS your way through the essays, but you at least have to know some facts about the topic. The people who grade those things know what you're talking (or attempting to talk) about. The main problem I had was just keeping things in order, but then with about a month before the AP test came, it kind of came together. Definitely just pay attention and if you're serious about doing well, realize that you're going to have to do a decent amount of studying out of class to get a decent score.
