anyone else notice that grippy type balls take longer to release? today i was shooting with one and it was fine...then i shot with a slicker ball and it had 0 whip so i tightened everything to fit the need of that ball. and it didn't occur to me that it was the ball until when i was going in and then i tried with my friends stick, and again the grippy ball came out late. anyone else ever notice that? and why don't all balls have the same surface??

i noticed that too and balls differ because of different terrain. Because if you used a slick ball on turf it wouldnt bounce as well it would slide while the grippy ball would bounce on turf.

newer balls have more grip, creating more whip, the warrior grippy balls have the most. old dirty slick balls throw differently. at battle of the hotbeds, the balls they used were sooooo ****ty, if you stick was wet, they threw super high, if you stick was dry. it has so much whip, you couldnt throw straight..
