What is odd about the cuff is the fact that there is a gap where it should meet. I asked if they are putting something there to sort of hold it and they said no. I found it kind of annoying because when i moved my wrist down the cuff would sort of pinch on my arm. If you dont understand I can draw up a picture.
They were very nice and flexible though, I have to say. I don't have a lot of experience with Insanties so I can't make much of a comparison. The protection seems like it'd be fairly solid on these gloves, it's got some hard plastic in the middle of the top of the hand that seems like it'd help. It also has pieces of hard plastic in the gaps of the fingers, similar to what I believe the Insanity has.
Any other questions, I can try to answer.

By the way, the ones I had were mostly white with green accents, and had a large green #18 stitched into the cuff

I tried a pair on at the store i work at, we got one as a sample. The cuff is very, very interesting. I like it, the wrist really stays with you, and the neat thing is they have a draw string that runs along the bottom of the mesh palm so you can tighten them where you want it, not just the wrist. I may have over stated a tad.. but the cuff thing does strke me as odd. Make no mistake these are a nice pair of gloves though

Well I hope theyre nice. Im going to a store tomrroe to see the gait rep with my team. We are gettin custom gloves. Rumor is they might be mutants. I am not aa fan of wrist cuffs, so Ill let you all know how it works out tomrrow

ok so I just got back form the meeting...And trying on the mutants was, well, hard. I couldnt fit the glove on my hand because of the elastic thing (note: my hands arent the biggest in the world, there normal, so for all you big handers out there, beware of the mutants) Anyway, the flexablilty was nice. Protection was also good. But the cuff was odd. It seems if you tried to swim move someone or make a quick wrist move the cuff comes off of your wrist because there is no velcrow. I would ever get this glove personally because the elastic band around the wrist (not the cuff) is so tight.BTW, my team has decided to go with superfreaks for our custom gloves if you were wondering.
