Now when I first heard about Halo Wars and I was like "another Halo FPS" but after a little research (a minute on google) I found out that Halo Wars will be a RTS(real time strategy) SO it will be like the game Startcraft.
And while we are at it lets discuss more on Halo 3 and how both games being released will effect each other. Which one will you get? Both or only one?
And what will Halo Wars be like on the XBOX 360?

Yeah, there will be 2 Halo games comg out, one will we a FPS and one a RTS.
No, I might get one soon though. And the 360 looks like the only system worth getting.
The PS3 is way expensive and the low end version costs more than the upgrade 360.

ya thats wat i was thinking and the wii looks to complicated for me. so i ll prolly wait another 4 or 5 months maybe the price will go down and then i ll get one.

They released the new price of ps3. Its 450 with a 20 gb hard drive.

Did my eyes deceive me or did it look like the humans finally got a flying vehicle to counter the banshee. Pretty cool.

There will be 3, yes I said THREE, Halo games on 360. Halo 3, Halo Wars, and an untitled Halo game that will be produced by Bungie and Peter Jackson's team. For all you that didn't know Peter Jackson is directing the Halo movie.

So maybe the 3rd game will be based one the movie. I hope the don't kill the series through so many games...

The series died when people noticed it's a slow, unfun, FPS...
UT beats it in every which way... It's too slow and the story is horribly unattractive.

Its not really played for the Story, it is a better XBOX Live game.

x360 is worth it trust me. ive had mine since april and its awsome. it may not seem cool at first(ok it does) but after a while, if you check xbox360.com, you can find downloadable upgrades that anyone can dl onto their computer. then load it on a disk and upgrade your xbox360. its awsome. at first, i couldnt play any games for my xbox, then i got the upgrade cd and i can now play all 37 of my games from xbox. that and all of the games for 360. its also faster. if anyone had an xbox, they will recall that when you moved, it was a bit...slow. now when you move, its really fast. cant wait for the halo games. i love RTS games and i really want halo 3.

I don't like the idea of a RTS game for a console. They're much better on computers.

Wrong, that new price is ONLY for Japan! It will still be $500 and $600 every where else.

Actually your wrong. Its 400 in the Us (core) and 410 in Japan (core)and 450 in europe(core).
Too bad people who play fps are like WTF is a RTS?

ya same here and its not a pelican. watch at about 1min. 30 sec into the video the bashees shoot it down
and those graphics are amazing by the looks of it

Humans have yet to come up with a vehicle counter-part to the ghost or banshee.

To everyone talking about the new vehicles I am sure there will be a ton of new vehicles, soldiers, weapons, etc...
The game is a RTS, so its most likely going to have a ton of new stuff.

That's only in Japan
Ensemble studios is developing the Halo RTS, and that video was CG (if you couldn't tell)
Ensemble are the people behing the Age of Empires games, so you know Halo Wars will be good.

Starcraft is a futuristic thing between some weird kind of humans, aliens, and weird aliens. Warcraft is orcs and humans (I think).
for all of you ppl who think that there is only the pelican then you are wrong.
there is another, it just doesnt have a name. you know in halo 1, in the beginning video there are those jets that fly around the ship. and it is on one of those jets that the master chief gets off halo. in halo 2, those jets are the same ones that blow a hole in the covenant ship in the beginning levels so the masterchief can put a bomb in the ship.

i basically only play fps because I think they're the most fun, but I have to say, with the graphics implemented in halo wars, this may be freakin amazing. Obviously they have put a lot of time and effort into it.

its hard to compare, because they are totally different types of games. H3 is an action shooter whereas HW is a logical RTS

those would be longswords. if you read any halo novels(i reccomend it) then you will know alot about halo. longswords are like covenant banshees.

It will be more like Starcraft where you look down on the map in 3rd person.

What? Starcraft was one of the best games made. RTS' actually take skill and have a much higher learning curve than shooters.

My guess would be Xbox360.
The only reason i play Halo is the multiplayer against friends. The campaign is kind of dumb, and ungodly easy once you have some Xbox live experience. I just hope the multiplayer on halo 3 is as good as the one on halo 2 :P

Only the XBOX 360 for now.

the halo campaign is just boring. the flood is a perfect example of what the campaign is. just a massive flooding of guys with no real intelligence, the game just bombards you with a crap load of things to kill. It just seems to go on forever. I'd rather fight 2 hunters than 500 mutated marines. It's much more interesting to fight less, more intelligent enemies. At leas the flood portion of 2 isn't nearly as boring as 1, although that's not saying much.

i dont know how you can call the flood Boring? when you running backwards trying to fend off mutated marines hitting you from all sides, and one swipe can kill you, its one of the more intense things ive experianced. Provided you play it on Heroic or above, its boring on easy.

Well on Herioc, if you play co-op you get one person to hide in a empty room and the other one to keep running in and keeling the enemies. When he dies he respawns in the empty room.

I know... but we can hope.
And I don't see how they can bring the flood back, but then again I havn't seen any trailers with gameplay.
