I enjoyed watching Pallotti play last year even though they tried to let Park beat them in the playoffs. They lost several outstanding players Ryan Alexander, a Leonard brother, and if I remember correctly several (big) defensive players. If you are a FoGo when did Pallotti start having FoGos? Ryan Alexander was their man faceoff man and # 24 took many faceoffs but I don't remember him being a FoGo.

Well with Alexander leaving, and #24 being hurt and maybe out for the season it was either this kid Russ or me. And i was a FoGo for Mount Saint Joseph last year but i transferred and opted to do FoGo instead of attack since the other Leonard brother (Drew) is playing attack agian and we have two other returning attackmen. The coach was cool about it though so i might be switching around but ill be taking most if not all faceoffs this season... hopefully and playing some attack.

Really sorry to hear that #24 is hurt he was fun to watch well the entire team was fun to watch last year. St Mary's Ryken has a FoGo guy too, only other high school team I've seen to have FoGo's. Good luck at Pallotti.

Question, did you have to have a waiver to play for Pallotti since you moved between MIAA schools? I thought I read something about waivers being required now.

I know a couple of guys who play/played at Mt St Joe. T.J. ? forget his last name (plays long stick defense), and Kenny Kerr (plays long stick defense but is just as good with a short stick playing mid field) who used to play at St Joe.

I believe you only need to go through all that if you transfer schools within either the school year or sports season. I remember hearing about some players who transferred midyear and couldnt play because of that kinda thing, but since i transferred in the summer i dont think ill haveto go through any ofthat hopefully.

I found the following on the MIAA website you might want to ask your coach about it. I remember there being a big to-do last year when Travis Reed started playing at Boys Latin even though he had received a waiver.

A transfer student who changes schools during the school year and has participated in interscholastic athletics at any level at his former school is ineligible to participate in interscholastic activities for the remainder of that school year. Additionally, that student, if he or she was a varsity athlete at their previous school, is ineligible for participation in that (those) varsity sport(s) in the following academic year.

A transfer student who changes schools at the end of an academic year (after the close of school and before August 1st) and was a varsity athlete at his / her previous school is ineligible to participate in that sport at the new school for one year beginning with the first date of attendance. If that student was an undersquad athlete (freshman or junior varsity) at his previous school, he / she may transfer without penalty.

The only exceptions to this policy are the following:
a) if a student were to change their primary residence; a change in primary residence means a move of more than 30 miles from their present residence;
b) if a student’s present school were to eliminate the athletic program in which he / she is participating.

This policy is effective as of September 1, 2006.
