View Full Version : M1 rock-it pocket

the other day I found this M1 laying around in my garage. it seemed to scream out to me "box pinch me and put a rock-it pocket on me." and as we all know, I dare not defy the god of onset heads, the M1. so i box pinched it, let it sit overnight, and strung a rock-it pocket on it the next day.

DO'NT BOTHER YELLING AT ME FOR HAVING NO COIL. it was hard enough to get the leathers through the holes, much less two peices of crosslace, so I didn't bother. plus, the head had enough taco so it wouldn't really matter.

I put in three nylons because having a shooter just didn't get enough lip for good hold and shot speed.

for the record, I got the inspiration for this from one of livin4lax09's heads.

That pinch is sweet, the only thing is to neaten up the nylon shooters.

yeah, I couldn't find any other way to do them, and putting in a shooter would be stupid.

but it does work, and its really stiff sidewall so it works fine. has a really good release, reallllly fast, and cradles good (for a modestly-deep pocket on an onset head)

i never understood this, what is taco as far as the head is concerned?

when you pinch a head, mostly box pinches, the scoop either goes down, or up. up is when it makes the head taller and the scoop stays flat (like an e3 or a finalizer). down is when the scoop "tacos" and looks a bit like a torque.

what a waste of a perfectly good rp and you defiled a great f/o head. that said, you did it well

yeah dude, thanks for all the responses. it has the fastest shot of any stick I've ever used.
