Have any of you seen a "curriculum" for coaching middle schoolers through the season? There are a lot of these available for soccer (www.finesoccer.com), but I haven't found any for girls' lax. Probably doesn't matter if it's boys or girls, really. I'm just trying to figure out what to start with in March, and finish with in June, and what's appropriate, and what's unrealistic for a 7th grader.

ill give you the drills i did when i was in middle school. the easier ones that would be good for girls lacrosse.

1 start with light running...we did a few laps around our field. laps at your discretion.

2 3 line drill. 3 lines: 1 line of attack, 1 of middies, 1 of defense. 4 steps of the drill. regular passes, ground balls to, ground balls away, ground ball dodge. start on one end of field (sideline) and take a few strides and pass to the person coming toward you from the other side. after awhile of this, blow whistle and vallout "ground balls to". now the person with the ball would take a few strides and roll the ball to the person in front of them. again, after awhile, blow whistle, and call "balls away". person with ball would run to almost the other side and turn around when 5-10 feet from person on other sideline and roll the ball back in the direction of her orignial sideline. new girl runnns at the ball and scoops up and repeats. you dont really need to do the 4th one. just keep repeating these drills over a few times.
that was our warmup. cant think of any of the other drills.
