......Now that Kenny Nichols has been moved aside?? Hmmm? Could it be Benerdeirks, D.Joy, and Mighty Murray Keen. My tip is the latter, just so as to reunite the Caulfield crew of 2003. Toss JT into the mix and the jobs done.
Now they have a years experience under their belt they could be a real threat!
Any takers...??

If it was Belly - he'd be likely coaching via correspondence. Probably from down Sale or Castlemaine way.

I doubt it will be Dave Joy he stepped down from Malvern claiming he wants a break from lacrosse.

I would say Dave Joy maybe. Because he knows the youngsters and is also a great coach.
But at this stage it could be anyone.

who ever gets the gig has the potential to take mcc to god knows how many SL grannys (assuming he knows his lax) cant believe more coaches arnt jumping at the oppertunity to coach some of the boys down there bullock, both hydes, desmond, eagen, johnson, williams(when he finds out he aint that quick, he'll be bak) belfour, all of which have at least 10-12 years of SL lax left in them. not to mention starkie arnell and possibly JT. tell me if u were a retired lax player who new ya **** that you wouldn't be drooling at the chance to coach that?

When are these 'grannys' gonna start flowing in?
If they play Div 1 I would say next year!
If they play s/l maybe when the Melbourne C ricket Club makes a compulsory move to make all Voting members that are Lacrosse Players have to play for MCC???
FAT CHANCE.......to many egos not enough brains!

hey guys, i play under 15's in melbourne, i also played southern this year, good coaching is a definate asset to the game of lacrosse (as demonstrated in the melbourne tournament last week)
as to your question "why did mcc under achieve so bad this year?"
they under acheieved because they were missing so many players per game
atleast 12 players went to the world games, playing or watching. we had under 17's and even people young enough to play 15's playing state league.
MCC are an awesome team and have extreme skils but need more depth in their lineups.
and coaches, go to mcc, everyone loves the coach down here!!

i guess depth is the issue....but both Willy and Eltham had sh!tloads of players missing.......and Surrey had none missing.......and all made the finals!

Surrey did have players out throughout the season, Ben waite(Broken Thumb) Chris Robertson(AC joint), Dave Spread sat alot of games on the bench carrying leg injuries, Danny whitt, played only 14 games, Andy whitt missed 2 games at the end of the season due to a barny with the coach....................Still made the finals

Time will tell Fairy - true. MCC will be tested once again against Surrey this week. Whilst they got away with a one goal OT win against an undermanned Willy, they may not be a fortunate this week. Prediction - Surrey by 3.
In saying that they have certainly turned things around this season very well. Helps having a coach who is level headed, and players consistently in the mix.
Other predictions for round 5:
Eltham by 18
Willy by 6
Camberwell by 6.
Peace and GL for the w/end.
Roy.
