This isn't really specifically a goalie quote, but I like it.
"Somewhere, someone is practicing. And when you meet him on the field face-to-face, one-on-one, He'll beat you. Unless that someone practicing is you. So work the left, run the stairs, and crank the corners. Give it everything you've got, every day. And when you feel tired, or feel like quitting, ask your self, is the other guy tired? Is he quitting"
My signature is pretty good one too, I think

Most fans go wild when they see a goalie make what looks like a great save, but the chances are what they are seeing is a save that was made from being out of position

"Goalies are fine fellows when you meet them at *the center of the field*. They are fine fellows off the *field* too. But don't think this cordiality is going to apply when you *run* by the front of his *crease*. He'll slice you up if you come in close" - Chandler Sterling, writer
"Only God saves more than me"-Not sure.
These were mostly hockey quotes so the * * represent where i changed words to apply to lax. Those and others can be found here http://www.msu.edu/user/baujason/quote.html

FRANK "ULCERS" MCCOOL, goaltender, Toronto, on the loneliness that goaltenders feel:
"If you lose, the fans blame the goalie and the reporters take up the cry. After a while, the other players believe what they read and the goalie feels like it's one man against the world. Everyone else who makes a mistake, it escapes the attention of the crowd. But the goalie? If he blows one, they know it. Pretty soon, the goalie feels like an outcast. The only friend he has is the other goalie across the ice. He's the only one who understands."
this one's for hockey but it works pretty good for lax.

A shot traveling 108 miles per hour will exert roughly 6,000 Newtons on any object/Man/Crossbar etc... That's about 1,350 lbs of force, well more than half a ton and about 5 times that of Oscar de la Hoya's Left Cross - This is a little glimpse of the pain Goalies take day in and day out...

"I'm not sure why I kept playing goalie, to be honest, It's painful mentally and physically. But the feeling of letting a goal in is alot more painful than getting hit anywhere on my body" - Trevor Tierney
"To be a goalie, You have to be fearless" - Bill Pilat (Roanoke Coach)
"When you're on the field as a goalie, you're going to impact the game. It's not a participation-type position; you're in the battle." - Quint Kessenich
"That no one would want to step in the goal makes perfect sense when you consider that a hard rubber object is being hurled at you from close range at the same speed that BMW-driving Germans tear up the Autobahn." - Nate Badder (IL)
Oh and a for the record stat for you fellow goalies; A shot from 15 yards out traveling 85 mph takes .36 seconds to get to the goal. Anyone who says 'playing goalie isn't hard' should go against that.
