I think part of the point is that it doesn't have shoulder protection. Generally, when chest protectors have shoulder guards they either are ineffectual (like on the STX) or get in the way (like the big plastic Warrior ones). The Eraser is aimed at the experienced goalie, and most goalies who aren't afraid of the ball anymore don't use protection.

The purpose of not having the shoulder protection and reducing the size of the Chest Pad is to increase mobility and speed. Advanced goalies usually find padding to be bulky and unnecessary. Anything around your chest or shoulders can usually be saved with your stick, therefore, they want to reduce bulk in those areas.
I think the Eraser looks like an execellent CP.
Cant wait for it.

Well. It hasn't been released just yet. I believe it should be clear to sell on October 15th, or so the rumors have said around here.

it looks interesting, but i think im just gona stick with my supercrosse. and wherever it was in tlf where someone menitoned to take off your ahoulder plastic pads that get in the way, you were a genious. i have a bad shoulder so i have a padded shirt there, but its so much more motion than with the huge things there.
