So this thread is where we post our battle scars, and possibly an explanation of how they happened.

These are both from my indoor game a couple days ago:

Hard shot from about 6 yards out. I couldn't really move my left shoulder for about 2 days.

Took a shot dead center of my facemask, and it split my chin open. At least the second time it's happened in that same place.

i dont have a pic, but somehow two bones like popped out of place in my foot and i didnt realize it for a little bit, but then when i walked out of the crease i just like collapsed, cus i didnt expect it but it hurt like hell that night and then i popped them back into place cus i realized what was wrong. the worst i have ever seen was a kid take a shot, completely SHATTER the neck guard on a goalies helmet and he shattered the kids jaw. the kid was puking blood.

yep, yep, nasty. i have a bruise on my stomach right now from gettin shot at and my cp lifted up and my shirt lifeted up and bang! u can see a small, what looks to be a letter "b" in the center.

i dont play golie for my team but i played one game and holey crap does it hurt when i got hit in the shin man i give u guys some cretit for being that crazy.

yea but at middie u get slashed a lot so it works out even and i hear after a while they dont hurt as much anyway thats the wy it is with slashes

For school last year I played goalie and our coach for Le Moyne and he gave our other goalie a nasty green and yellow bruise the size of a basketball on the inside of his thigh. I got a bruise that looked EXACTLY like a duck :roll: , it was really funny when it started to heal and turned yellow.

one time my coach was tellin the team to shoot of stick hip and he ripped one and i saved it using my thigh it hurt so much i couldnt walk for like a day

I really don't take too many shots off of the body anymore. Only time I really do is on time-and-room shots from 6 and in where I almost have to guess. 80+ MPH from 5 yards is tough to get a stick on no matter how fast your hands are.

Actually, the only time I really get beat up is in indoor. The length of the entire field is maybe 30 yards, so people just rip it from up close. It's fun sometimes, and helps on saving close-in shots, but it beats the hell out of goalies.

when i was younger and played attack we decided to pull the hidden ball trick at a camp during a scrimmage, my friend took the shot and hit the goalie right in the side of the knee cap, the goalie dropped like a sack of potatoes and his knew blew up like a balloon, NASTY LOOKIN STUFF!

my favorite bruise/welt is where I stepped out to stop an attackman, and got a nice evo pro sidewall on my left thigh. (I with i had pics)

i have 2 good ones. last practice of last year my coach rips 3 consecutive shots that hit the same general area of my inner right thigh so there was a 1 foot strip of 3 ball marks and some bruises inbetween. it hurt so bad the next day at our game, i got hit there again.

2nd one was from a game. i basically got over-undered (if anyone doesnt know what that is, watch the end of jerry maguire and watch rod tidwell get hit). i decided to run the ball and i got slashed at my throat guard really hard going one way and shoulder checked from behind and fell on the back of my head. hurt really bad.

I have a cut across my face from where a player got their stick partially through my bars. I think it happened when I took them out head on.

last year i got hit in the bicep during a game on a saturday by and all state attackman from about 5 yards (prob about 65 mph). normally gettin hit in games i dont feel it because of adrennaline but this just made my arm go numb. by mon at practice had the entire upper half bruised. that day my goalie coach shoots about 76 or 80, hit me in warm ups, and then i got hit 3 more times that day, and atleast once ever day after. i had the bruise for about 6 weeks and at its peak my entire arm all the way around was black and blue. it was the worst bruise ive ever had

yeah i dunno really y anyone would take pics thats pretty dumb except for relaxin 13 cause having that imprint is pretty sweet but other than that i think its pretty lame to take pics but u know maybe these just werent really bad

It's healed since practice (this happened about 6 hours ago or so) and the top scar/cut has since quit bleeding. There were about 3 people in my 5pm class who were just staring (my class has 6 other people) most of class. My buddy who gave this to me got it even worse, (I tried to run him over on a clear and we bounced off each other) he had a few gashes that were just bleeding at practice. I'm sure we'll feel it tomorrow.

EDIT: That's my tricep, btw. It's not swollen anymore.

Well i'll post a pic of one of the scar i got from some ***** slashing me in the arm *long since healed, but nasty scar, tok 24 stickes and 7staples to close it* and the worst from a ball was one that was ripped and it broke my cup, i was literally on the ground cringing, lol.

I'm a goalie, and last year I came out on the clear... some kid tried to ice-pick me but missed and got me in side of my neck. From his buttend it left a red outline of a warrior W... it was nuts

i end up looking like that alot after games. i dont like much protection. honestly, i think its useless because if you can stand the pain from scratches and cuts like that then why use extra padding to slow you down? alot of it comes from breakaways and slashes while im running alongside someone, but others come from getting hit in the faceoff circle.

and where is the picture of the warrior logo relaxin was talking about?

Broke all the toes on my right foot, and fractured my tailbone twice...plus all the little cuts and bruises.

1. I'm a girl, and those pictures aren't graphic.
2. Worst thing happened to me, I can't even have pictures for, but playing in a guys summer league I got hit with a prolly 75-80mph shot from about 3 yards away & I had a muscle spasm for 3 months. Then I finally went to the Chiroprators and I'm ready for this season.

so indoor training started and we had this all american varsity player at practice and i was in net not really paying attention cuz our coach was going over the nxt drill so he finishes and next thing right after he says hes done i hear "sean!!", turn my head and next thing you no im on the ground. took it to the balls i guess, blacked out though...woke up sore i guess you could say and sorta with my mouth full of blood and yes guys i hadda cup on

this happened when iwas getting warmed up once. wew were fooling around and our best attackman who has about a 75mph shot (im a youth goalie) was trying to hit top left and asked me to step to the side so i did and was talking to the third attackman when he decided that he would be funny and hit me right in the thigh. i had a huge bruise for about a month and could barely walk for a couple of games

my brother bit me twice and tryed to strangle me. can't get pics of the bites because they are on my back, but they look like gun shot wounds. and the ligature marks are gone from my neck

i took a hard underarm shot from a soon to be d1 player on my team and i got it in the shin, didnt really hurt, but i couldnt walk for 3 days and it puffed up to like a 5 inch circle with a dent in the middle

i have two good ones from last season/ this fall

first was the practice before our sectional final game we were playing a half field game and one of the attackmen on my team took a shot from ( i dont remember teh distance) but when i moved towards it hit me right in the thumb. crushing it agianst my shaft. i immediatly knew something was wrong but realizing i wouldnt be able to play in the sectional final game i let it go and me and my school trainer put some gel stuff around it for the game( which i played horrible in) the night after the game i went to the docter who happens to be a friend of mine to get xrays and it turns out that the top two sections of my thumb including the joint were shattered and out of place which was crazy. i had to play the entire summer with a cast on my hand ( whihc involved ruining a pair of gloves to cut space for the cast into them, that same trip to the doctors they xrayed my other thumb for comparison, and found out that i had broken teh lower socket of it( which happend like 2 weeks into the season)

Next was this fall at a tourney in baltimore where some kid from i think calvert hall hit me below the throat guard and above my chest pad, right on my collar bone. when i went to teh doctors the next day after the tourniment it turned out that it had hit my collarbone so hard that it had separated my shoulder at the other end of the bone( ie it hit it so hard that it sent popped the connection bewteen the bones and pusehd it completely away from my shoulder.

ok - might not be lacrosse but this was funny - this dude mark morre was playing football and him and a girl both jumped for the ball and she kneed kim real hard in the nuts and he passed out and started coughing up blood

thats after about a week of healing. and that was taken about a week ago. its still on my arm, still lookin about the same way. it used to be shades of red and purple, black and blue, and some light yellow there, and bout another 2 inches in diameter.
