just a few questions. i wanted to know if: (a) doing cardio work will make me lose weight ( i dont want to lose any weight btw)
(b) what is a good meal to eat after a workout? i have no protein shakes or anything so i need some food that i can make myself.

well running only gets rid of bad weight. weight lifting and protein will bring the weight you lose from running back and you will be the same weight (or heavier because muscle weighs more than fat) and be in better shape.

cheese has a lot of protein. so do some cereals.

Penuts/Penutbutter have pretty good source of protein in them. You can get the packs of penuts (or other nuts) that have like 12 grams of protein in them.

a) Running burns calories and you will lose weight if you are not eating properly, but with a good diet you can still gain weight
b) You want to keep the fats down after a workout so cheese and nuts(peanut butter) are not good ideas. I would stick with a lean cut of meat (chicken) and some simple fast digesting carbs.
