Alright so the website is real helpful, Do we even have a lax team, i know theres a comp in sydney but is that all the lacrosse in our whole state?

NSW doesen't have a state team or anything, But i understand there is a box competition and a bit of field in Sydney though.

NSW just sent down a team to play us Tassie lads to play field lax on astro turf a few weeks ago. They generally only play box, i have a few email addresses and mobile numbers of some of the NSW guys i could pass on if your interested-a few of them kick about on these forums from time to time.

Sorry to bump this, but as Dunga says Sydney lax has box evey saturday at the Rocks (opposite the Australian pub, next to the Bridge Climb office). Come down on a Sat from 1pm & get a game. We are looking into putting a combined Tas/NWS team into the Vic league but really need to capture all those players in NSW that want to play but are only interested in field lax.

its one of my holiday goals to get my mates into lax and hopefully come down to play, but since were all beginners would it be intrusive or something to join a game of people who play every weekend or is there a dfevelopment par aswell on saturdays?

dragonblade25, come on down. Last Sat the plan was to have an intro session to lax for newbies. Unfortunately the bad wather cancelled this out. A few guys on the team are relatively new to lax (with ice hockey &/or broomball backgrounds) but they picked it up quick, so come on down & we can show you the basics & take it from there. PM me if you are keen, or come down tomorrow afternoon. We have some spare kit so bring your mates too

The powers that be are moving me back to Sydney in January. I'd love to get back into lacrosse, its been over a year now and my life feels abit empty without it.

Anybody know of details about when/where they play and who to contact about getting involved?

Any help or a point in the right direction would be appreciated.

We play Box on Saturdays, mixed on Sundays and also try and get out and play field when we can. We are getting some development stuff together and are hopeful that we can get a more regular field game going. There are a lot of closet field players in and around Sydney whenever we get a game together we get a good turn out.

As Dunga said we also put together a touring team to Tassie annually which is great fun and by the next year the hangover is forgotten.

Nah I'm from Melbourne, had to give lacrosse up when I joined the navy, now that I'm moving to Sydney I want to play again, I went all of 2007 without playing a single game and it sucked.
