Im about 137lbs and 16yrs old and got a Large. Does anyone else have or have seen someone with this pad? I got it because It looked like it had alot of maneuverability and wasnt as bulky as others. Also do you think a large would fit someone of my size? Because im sitting in my room constantly thinking -why did I get a large sorry this is my first set of goalie pads, and I really don't know how the feel is.

:concerned

Thanks for the help guys

1. well that sucks... Im 5'9 and 137lbs... will it still be large?

2. Also can you take some parts off this pad? Do you guys prefer fewer pads on (shoulders/arms) or more?

Yea. It's going to be really big. I'm 6'1" 200 lbs, and I wear a medium STX chest protector.

I just emailed them about an hour after actually ordering saying to change the order from large to medium I really hope they change it.

they will...ive done somethin like that where i had to email them, they responded next day. lax.com is reliable. i dont like the mll because of the back style. overall it is good. i wear a large, and it fits well and im a big boy.

i personaly wouldnt get that pad. the ones that warrior makes are gigantic and bulky. i got one but then returned it because it was too big-and it was a medium. you should try out the new brine one and spend the leftover money on something else.

I definitely recommend the chest protector. I just started playing goalie, and some of the shots I take in the Ft. Collins Mens league are 80+ mph. I feel very protected and haven't felt much hurt (helps having lots of adrenaline too). I don't really use the shoulder pads much as they restrict my maneuverability (sp?). Only thing that bothers me is that my neck guard sometimes gets caught on the upper lip of the chest protector, so I can't have my head on a swivel as fast as I would like, however it sure beats a ball to the neck.

I am 6'6'' tall, 215 lbs and have the biggest size I could get (pretty sure it is XL). I think a large is way too big for you.

Good luck, the more you feel that the balls won't hurt, the better you will be at stepping in front of balls.

Try practicing without a stick, it can be some fun for you and your friends.

Edit: nevermind, I just researched it and the one I am using is the Warrior: Players Club GG 6.0. Sorry about that :| Either way, good luck.

Yeah, it will be kinda big on you. Just take off all the extra stuff and you should be fine though. I'm 5'9 and 135lb, and my similar Warrior CP is kinda big. Don't worry about it though, It's nothing drastic.

I prefer the smallest size I can get, to maximize mobility. After all, I rarelt get hit in the chest.
