My team convinced me to come out of retirement for the last fall ball game this year, any advice how to get into game shape by Saturday (i doubt it easy even possible, but who knows, maybe a few of you have some tricks)

you could make a program of tons of running all day. and also if you eat really healthy i.e. fruit, vegies, etc... and lift some weights.

there really is no way to get back into shape in 4 days. just eat healthy and do some jogging to get use to exercise.

What do you mean "out of retirement" becasue if your like 40 you might not want to do tons of running as it might hurt you but f you're younger than run like all day for 4 days and lift weights and stuff

I dont know maybe if he runs 4 days straight all day he'll end up exhausted for the game and then that wont help at all.

Run hard the first three days. Take it easy the fourth day. Remember to get lots of sleep and eat healthy.

drink LOTS AND LOTS of water, like at least a gallon a day, you need to start getting hydrated before the game.

Yikes...I hate to break it to you, man but everyone is wrong. It's basically impossible to get in shape in 4 days. And running "a looooottttt" isn't going to help that much in such a short span. In fact, it will probably get you very tired and your muscles will be of even less use when you need to use them in a game. You have to start slow to get back into shape and then work your way back. Trust me, I know I'm working my ay back from a bad wrist injury and its taking forever to get my bench max back as well as my wind. Try light running to get your legs ready for activity if you really only have 4 days. Otherwise just work your way back gradually.

Pray - 4 days of running will only make you tired. You can't improve your conditioning in 4 days - BUT you can knock the rust off the old stick skills.

I would focus on working your stick getting use to the motions of catching, throwing, and shooting again. Generally get use to the crosse again. I would also focus on the game. Go through the rules and plays. Think about playing, get yourself in the right "mind" as they say. Don't forget to tune your stick get the pocket right again tighten it up if need be.

I think the above will get you more game ready then 4 days of running your bag off.

Once you have the time frame to work with you can run, lift, and eat healthy.

yea shifty is definitely right on this one, there is no possible way to get back into shape in 4 days. just try to do like a 1 mile run and then if you feel okay increase it, either that or tempo runs, and stretch A LOT

well, i cant get your ready to run a full game by saturday, but if your packing on some extra pounds, i could get you a good recipe to loose weight fast.

you could do some agility drills to get your legs more accustomed to dodgin, just so you dont end up breaking your own ankles when you dodge. practice with the team you will be playing for could also help
