these bumping rules are really confusing. i say that we get a 5 bump maxmimum, and once we use those 5, we cant bump anymore and the thread gets closed, and you must wait a while before trying a new one

Yeah, I saw a thread on the new rules, and I must say that they are a little over the top You should be allowed one bump every 48 hours after each other bump. Answering a question shouldn't count as a bump. Now I though I saw 7 days between bumps, which is way too long. Instead of maxing out at five, a person should be allowed to have one thread when they join that is their personal thread that they can change the title of to contain whatever they need to buy of sell. Then it becomes one thread for each member, which cuts back on new threads in that forum by a ton. Also a personal thread would allow people to take care of the threads themselves, eliminating the need for more than one Mod for that forum. If someone makes a bad post in the thread, the person can just delete it rather than having to report it, and have a mod do it. Ideally it would work like Bartimpsonii's threads, where he just gets the same stuff and puts it in each new thread, almost like a personal message.

Or instead of this, strictly enforce the creation of new threads. I don't want to be a nark, but christ, how many threads does Tiger lax 44 need, 100? If each member was warned heavily for creating new threads when they have other ones that could be bumped, I bet it would cut back on the bumping and new threads alot.

Sounds fine to me
It's the same rules as before
but you can not bump two times in a row.
UNLESS it has been 7 days.

Answering a question is not considered a bump. Something that doesn't contribute to the over all thread or the deal is. Something like: "Everything is still here" or "This stuff really needs to go." We use our judgement.
