Alright ladies and gentlemen another day, another poll.

If you had the chance between crushing the attackman or picking off the pass what would you do. Situation is you see the attackman makin the cut out of the corner of ure eye and he gets a pass from the side, your able to either jump the lane and pick off the pass creating a fast break orrrrr you line the attackman up and lay him flat on his back right before the pass gets there. You know the kind of hit where everyone, im talkin both benches, both sides of stands goes OHHHHHHHHHHH.

then just say why

i totally say big hit!!!!! this is because if i line the attack man up then i have the chance to put him out of the game and we will most likely winde up with the ball

big hit because thats the only thing that will get your team moving.

A goalie on my team layed some kid out, I don't rember exactly how it went down but I think the kid like jumped and he layed him out flat on his back.
Sorry to post in the goalie forum, I just figured I'd share.

I'd probably pick off teh pass, and try to run it up a good ways before dumping it off to an attackman or mid. (Or take it all the way if theres an opening)

I dont really have the size to make the hit...(Unless the attackman is under 5'4")

Intercept the pass and gain posession. There's a lot more you can do for your team when you have the ball than when you're out of your crease decking someone and letting the ball go to whomever gets to it first. Lay someone out as a last resort, otherwise play smart and get the ball so your team can do something.

Decking someone is not always a good option because a good attackman will simply throw it over your head. I always take picking off a pass rather than laying someone out... but as AM17 said, unless that person is <5'5" I couldn't really lay them out anyways.

I'd say pick off the pass because it would give my team a chance to score.

big hit forsure. its one of the best feeling ever to just knock out some attackman who thinks hes the man. and beside feeling amazing for u it makes them look like acomplete. i mean whats better than a goalie knocking some kid out.

NOTHING

Big Hit means the attackman will learn a lesson and be more careful next time, and my coach owes me a bacon cheeseburger (he owes me quite a few). But the pick definitely if my team is down (and its close, if were getting blown out nobody survives) b/c fastbreak = pts.

I go for the big hit because it feels so dam cool and it really gets the rest of my team pumped up when someone gets a big hit, times that by 10 if the goalie lays someone out

i think there isnt a better feeling than knocking the wind out of some attackmen because that pumps up your bench like no other thing (sept amazing point blank saves). the smart thing to do would be to pick off the pass, but come on, who wants to be typical........hits are "better" in a sense of personal feeling, but in the lacrosse sense a pick off that leads to a fast break is the "better" thing.

I'd definentely rather pick off a pass. Even though I'm a pretty big goalie, you can do a lot more for your team if you pick a pass than making a big hit.
