So yeh. I'm not sure if this is appropriate for its own thread, but I've officially switched from goalie to face-off and d-mid. My school has three really great freshmen goaltenders and my coach and I felt that I can help out the team a lot more on face-off (we were 35% on the year last season) and so far it's paying off. I'll probably still play goalie over the summer for a few club teams I play for, but we'll see. I love taking face-offs.

If anyone still wants help w/ anything goalie related (ie footwork, technique, stringing) I'm always here to help, and YES I will be at the Orlando and Springfield PEAK Goalie clinics again.

There will be a for sale thread w/ my gear (Superfreaks, Riddell Chest Protector, and Eclipse that's in my profile... yellow one) so look out for that whenever I can find some AA batteries for my camera.

Ohhh... at least you'll be at Peak. I'm going this year, BTW.
FOs are cool... but you'll always be a goalie at heart.

eveyone can say they leave their original position, but youll alwatys be there. especially in goal, you cant forget what its like in there. good luck on f/o...i like to f/o with our normal f/o middie, i win a lot. my torque is so warped from it...kinda sucks but its worth it to work with the middies instead of in the pipes sometimes. sometimes i even get to come out and go back to attack..its fun, but goal is more exciting...its more fun for me to save the ball then it is to let it rip.

What color are those Superfreaks? (as an entering goalie, good luck and godspeed!)

enjoi - they are green w/ a few small tears in the spot between the thumb and index finger.

Oh yeh I know I'll always be a goalie at heart. I'm also originally a wrestler so that's why I'm good at f/o's. In our three fall ball games, I lost 6 or 7 total faceoff's and took a majority of them. We won the first two like 14-6 and 15-1 and tied the intra-squad game 4-4. Right now I'm working on how to put the ball on my right side wingman and flick it to myself. Oh, and the whole running around, catching and passing w/ a shorty. And I have somewhat found my left hand.

What a weird world.

One of the few people who kept the arguement alive for the reinstatement of the Goalie Forum. We have it back mostly because of him.
