Wow you can stop with the all caps. It seems like whenever Notre Dame wins all kinds of people come out of the woodwork and say they've been lifelong Irish fans.

You do realize that the only reason why Notre Dame is around is because of Navy right?

And this is why Notre Dame has so much respect for the Naval Academy and USMA. People tear into ND for scheduling the service academies in football, yet they dont know the whole story.

I am a lifelong Navy fan and I think considering their injuries and everything, they didn't play too bad. Navy is always undersized and have no chance at getting blue chip recruits (that whole service thing) and the fact they have lost 43 straight should not be made out to be as bad as it is. I give credit to Notre Dame for being a class act once again, although Charlie Weiss's 4th down attempts late in the 4th quarter when they were up 38-14 was a little stupid. And yes, Notre Dame is only around b/c of Navy, so they definitley better have respect. Navy will beat them one of these years, and when they do, I'll definitley be partying hard that night.

Please don't disgrace ND by disrespecting the Naval Academy. Without those guys that you say "suck", you would not have your freedom right now. I know you didnt mean it like that, and Im not trying to be a jerk, but im just telling you you shouldnt say stuff like that.

The game pretty much turned out how I thought it would. Navy pretty much ran all over our defense, but they had no answer for our offense. The QB for Navy was a great option runner. He has a good future ahead of him.

Same here...I love the naval academy, my dad went there, and we drive up there about ten times a year for various sporting events. If you looked at the first half, our offense played pretty well, we could have been leading going into halftime if we finished out the first drivewith a touchdown. And I cannot wait for the day that Navy pulls the upset of Notre Dame.

Wow guys please don't take something like "navy sucks" as such an insult. I am talking about their football program, not the academy. I realize the navy defends our county, but cmon, Its football.

haha, alright, I think everybody got all intense right here...

what I meant from my comment is the history between Notre Dame and Navy...why are Notre Dame's colors Blue and Gold, because of Navy. If it wasn't for all the Midshipmen sent over to Notre Dame during World War II, Notre Dame would have closed down...

...nothing about how the Navy protects our freedom.

I didn't take "navy sucks" as a literal comment, but that is still a misguided comment. The Navy Football team is comprised of underweight, undersized, smart (not like FSU where an SAT of 600 gets you in), bottom of the draft class individuals because of the academies strict standards. Read any story about the average football player and what their normal day is like at the Naval Academy and you would have a lot more respect for what they do.

Oh, and if they suck, why have they been to three straight bowl games and won two of them pretty convincingly?
