just jump it, its not that big of a deal, the battery out of juice, not dead. When he comes home, tell him you need a jump, then let it run, drive around, and youll be fine

You should jump it using another car, then race down the highway to get it recharged.

Well then what does your dad drive? Also what's the distance between the 2?
If all else fails, get a portable jumper. It looks like a battery with a small set of jumpers attached. It's a great thing to keep on hand for emergencies, especially when you get stuck in the middle of nowhere or have a situation like yours.

Buy a battery charger. They're $20 or $25. It will take about six hours to charge a dead battery to the point that it can start a car. No one who owns a motor vehicle should be without a battery charger.
If you're out in the woods and can't plug in a charger, then take the battery out of your father's car, carry it over to your Explorer, and connect it to your Explorer's battery. It should have enough energy in it to start your Explorer. Once the vehicle has started, disconnect the battery and reinstall it in your father's car. The disadvantage to this is that it may be necessary to reset the computer in your father's car. Read the owners manual or call the local dealer for guidance on this.
Speaking of reading the instructions, it's possible to connect the batteries incorrectly. Yes, you can get in trouble if you do this wrong. There are instructions in owners manuals to cover this situation. Read them first.

on the left side othe grass we cant because there are tons of flowers and the right, there might be enough room but theres a stone wall there.
I might just get a battery charger because it makes sense to buy one

Definitely. As a matter of policy, I drive only cars that are ... well, I really shouldn't call them "junky," but they aren't exactly right off the showroom floor. I can't tell you how many times a battery charger has saved the day. A 6-amp charger will be fine, but a bigger one can charge a battery in less time. Sears is always putting its chargers on sale for half-price.

just push the freaking car its not like woodchips act like a linoleum floor smothered in crisco you can get some grip .... and besides if YOU dont have a car and you dont want your dad to know your battery is dead then are you going to have to phone a friend so he can drive you all the way to where ever to get a portable charger and then drive you back sit a few hours and wait for the car to charge? or why dont you just call your friend and get him to help you push then jump and run and your good to go

Call AAA. A tow truck will come and they'll have a portable jumper.

Exactly as said above. Just call AAA they are a couple miracles away from Jesus. If you don't have a AAA card then can't you just hook a bunch of cables together to reach to the front of your car.

ok, call a friend up with a truck and get him to tow you out. Then jump it (every one has a set of cables laying around.) Done.

The portable battery jumpers are amazing. I keep one in my car and it's saved me plenty of times.
