Alright, I'm not sure I put this in the right forum. So mods, move it if necessary.

I made these with crosslace instead of hemp because well, I ran out. They turned out pretty well. I like them a lot becaue you can use various colors granted you have access to them. I know you can get colored hemp, but I had spools of crosslace laying around so I just used that instead. A bit stiff at first, but once worn/broken in, very comfortable. Without further adieu here are pics:

Please forgive my lack of ability to focus a picture.

Did this over summer, looks cool, but not very comfy. If you wanna make a cool looking one, use two colors, but have one color be crosslace, and the othe color be monster hemp. It comes out looking pretty cool.

Well If you do a wingspan, you end up with about half a yard left, So try try 4.5 yards...So to be safe.

alot of people i know me included wear a shooter on the wrists, does anyone else do it? just wanted to know. and whats your opinion on it?

Live4It
03-19-2008, 07:08 PM
I wear one on my left ankle during the summer, from my first stick. I usually take it off in the winter, and put it back on in the spring/summer.

canadianlaxer19
03-19-2008, 07:24 PM
some guys ive seen do it, and i think its a sick idea, but it was some of the not-so-great players on my team who did it so it made it look silly almost. i might start doing it though with yellow-dotted hockey laces cuz i think that'd be pretty snipe

Live4It

I have a crosslace bracelet too, that's always on me, there's a whole nother story about that though, and why I won't take it off.

used to then it started to smell and i never put one back on.
And my shooter never starts too smell cause I shower with it on, and pretty much wash it.

laxattack11
03-19-2008, 08:57 PM
mines the top shooter from my first stick that i scored with.

i dont take it off, ever. i wash it every day in the shower since i work at an ice cream shop. when i get home from a busy day its like caked chocolate sauce and stuff.

Some kids do it on my team/school. But a lot more kids wear X-Lace Bracelets, including me.

murderlax
03-23-2008, 01:19 PM
yeah i wear my very first shooting string around my left wrist. it's one of the older ones with the black stripes, they come in the older sticks(mainly stx).
i kinda of wear it to show my pride of both playing lacrosse, and stringing sticks.

i've worn it for about two years now without taking it off; i dont plan on it anytime soon either.

can someone make a tutorial on how to make a shooting string bracelet?
simply get a shooting string(get one of the older ones like i talked about), and tie it around your wrist so that its comfortable (not too tight); then double knot it, and cut/burn the ends.
i can take a picture of my wrist if you'd like to see what it looks like.

Artjom, I used to live in Germany--Ich habe in Deutschland gewohnen--Berchtesgaden, süd Deutschland.

Anyway, Live4it how do you make those?--they are sweet.
