throwing problem

i just got a new stick and when i throw my pocket either throws really down and sometimes even slips out. i have the same pocket as i always have so i know its mainly the stick any tips or advice for throwing techniques or pocket advice?- its a stx profile/hard mesh

did u change the shooting strings.....this could be the problem....

try three horizontals for great throwing (personally)...
or put a V in there to keep a good hold on the pocket...mess around with them to find what u like

u just have to change the shooting strings.. everystick is different. and every string job is diff.

Seriously though, break it in and than mess around w/ the shooters. and then break it in more. (by pounding it w/ a pocket pounder, the butt end of a baseball bat, or anything shaped like that...)

just use a penny ball to break it in or but a ball in and put a pencil in over it so i makes the pocket real deap... its cheaper than buying a pocket pounder, 2 horizantal shooters, 1 row apart n then a v

how do you use a penny to break in the pocket? ive never heard that method.

I think he means using a tennis ball filled w/ pennies to break it in. From my experience, a real lacrosse ball works much better.

oh, i just relized it said penny ball. yeah i just use a regular lacrosse ball. seems like a ball filled with pennies would be noisy. Usally though what i do to break in my pocket is just put a butter knife under a ball in my stick. Works great.

wanna make pocket pounder cut a hole int he ball so a shaft fits in tightly thensuperglue the butt of a shaft to the ball where the hole is. PS: one hell od a butt end lol
