My only question is how can the defending Superbowl champs be this bad? it doesn't even seem comprehensible. Anything else you want to talk about from this weeks games, bring it up.

does Roethlisberger and the massive amounts of injuries he's had preseason and during the season come across your mind because it should

but Colt's won YES what a great game i thought it was going to be a blowout but hey atleast we still pulled it out and this'll sure help my fantasy team

post 1111 just thought that was cool

Ben Roethlisberger 5 TD's, 7 Picks with a 74.5 QB rating and 60.8 completion rating.

Charlie Batch 5 TD's, ZERO Picks with a 136.8 QB rating and 61.5 completion rating.

Why do they continue to play Big Ben?

This is a very good question...

My favorite statistic: Oakland won a game with 93 yards of total offense. 93 YARDS! How does this happen? But what I find even funnier is that Arizona is officially worse than the Raiders, and I really didn't think Oakland would be outdone in the "abysmal" category this year. God I love the blissful disaster that has become the NFL season.

I found it really sad that ben went 23-33 and the Steelers had over 300 yards in offense while the Raiders were held to 98.

We should remember that Big Ben has been through a lot in the offseason and all the way up to his concussion last week. With that being said, he should be benched for now. He has done the best he can coming back from a motorcycle accident, apendectomy, concussion etc., but Charlie Batch should be in b/c he is not beat and battered.

Roethlisberger is much better overall, but I don't know what is keeping him up these days.

Roethlisberger just needs himself a good break that guys been through a lot

why would you play a guy thats been through so much though look at trent green and Hasselbeck both sustained concussions though the level of severity im not sure of , Green has still to return and Hasselbeck is questionable so why not give Roestlisberger a break and play your backup

Roethlisbergers a chump. Don't flame me, I just don't like the guy. Loss of Randle El recieving hurt them. Defense isn't as strong as it was. Problems everywhere for Pittsburgh.

The loss of Randle El isn't hurting Roethlisberger, its hurting the Steelers in general. If we still had ARE we wouldn't have lost to the Bengals or the Falcons.

Ben should not have played the last game. A concussion is having your brain literally get rattled and Cowher decides thats not reason enough to sit him. Ridiculous.

I blame the whole season on Cowher. He knows he's going to retire and he does nothing like he used to. On a shootout against the Falcons Vick stepped out of bounds in the Steelers sidelines and Cowher flashed him a smile and patted him on the back to congratulate him, not a sign of a true competitior.

randle el is gone and roethlisberger should not have gotten the start because of his concussion, he wasnt 100%

Oh please, you sound like a bandwagon fan...Cowher saved your team, has led them to at least 4 AFC championship games and 2 Super Bowl appearances with a victory. What else do you want the man to do, be like the Pats? They lost a few players to free-agency and what not, but the man is trying his best to win, and yes, he obviously knows what he's doing.

And no, I'm not a Pats or Steelers fan, I'm actually Raiders fan, but me being a Raiders fan had nothing to do with my response.

The main reason why fans like you bother me is that they tend to forget so easily what good their coach has done for them and always bring up the bad. Cowher led your team to a Super Bowl victory last year, he's a very good coach.

I'm done.

good.

I'm not a bandwagon fan, I've followed the team since Cowher started coaching and I critisized him for always losing the playoffs because he never changed his gameplan when the playoffs came around. Last year he finally had the balls to change and thats when Cowher was at his best.

If you don't understand the point of my post then don't go on and write an essay response. Cowher is a great coach but he's not returning this year, it's just too bad that the team has to suffer through a bad year because Cowher is a lame duck coach.

by the way, thanks for reminding me we won a Superbowl. I certainly appreciate Cowher's contributions in that win... it's what Superbowl champion fans do... I guess as a Raider fan you aren't familiar.

good.

Sure, you apprecite them when they win, and when they lose, you call for heads, let him do his job.

Oh, and nice try at an insult, my Raiders just bea your Steelers, so shhhhh...

Just out of curiousity, what teams have the top 3 records? The Pats couldn't be one of them could they? ::

what does that have to do with anything

Honestly I'm really not that bitter. I always said that I would trade 5 losing season for one Superbowl win and so far I'm getting what I asked for. I was extremely dissapointed when we lost our first game this season but after losing to Atlanta I really don't care any more. I will go out of my way to watch every single game and cheer them on every week but I'm not going to be bitter about anything.

You guys are joking if you think beating the Steelers this year is some sort of accomplishment. The team isn't that good.

Yeah, nice cliche there. I can't stand it when people think that you can only be a fan if you never EVER criticize your team. In my opinion, a fan who can't find anything wront with their team is just blind.

Oh, and nice try at an insult, my Raiders just bea your Steelers, so shhhhh...

yeah, okay. The Raiders beat one of the worst teams in the NFL right now... that just makes them.. slightly above a rating of "unfortunate".

I'm closing this thread because I don't see this conversation going anywhere positive. To me, there's already been enough arguing...
