Stringing for a D-pole

there is, i dont know where to find it but, for dpoles i normally string them up 6d or 8d or hard with 3 or 4 weaved or rolled, depending on what they like. or runner uses weaved hard, crease man uses 3 rolled and a nylon 6d, and our dodger and feeder uses 4 rolled 8d.

when i string the D guys on my teams pockets i usually just do bags like in Oranges tutorial, and just do like 3 straight weaved or a U depending on how much hold they want

R-basic. Basically the best pocket you can use IMO for pole. There is a tutorial for it on laxstore.

I really prefer the wideride on my x2 then anything i've ever strung before. It has decent hold for such a wide head, throws nice, just all around good.

i usually put some sort of corner pocket or a concept pocket on my bionic and it works great, oh and by the way cs that bag is GIGANTIC i love how the entire pocket channels so nicely.

I have a rocket pocket, the hold is great, and since I'm LSM, i can run it up while taking a few checks.

too true =) I use 6d with a doubled diamond (huge pocket) and one two weaved straight and one v weaved.

5d with 1 weaved u, and 2 weaved straight (bottom to top). I can throw some of the craziest fakes EVER with it. I have to throw side arm though, because it will go straight into the ground otherwise.

i created the penis pocket. its not that hard to make and it works really well. its not really a custom pocket its just the way the shooting strings are. originally it was the ghetto rock-it pocket but i had to make some changes on it because it had like WAAAAAAAY too much whip and after i made the change everyone was like 'dude that looks like a penis!' so i changed the name to the penis pocket. originally i just used an 84" hockey string (which sadly wears out quickly) but i figured out how to do it with 3 normal shooting strings.

I'm pretty sure CSlax06 hit the nail on the head with his stringing. it has all the good parts necessary for a good pole: wide head, lowest shooter in the middle of the pocket to accomodate for the wideness of the head, rolled shooters for a consistent release, and a bag to make ground balls easy.

the biggest problem I see with most poles' sticks is that it's a low or middle pocket, with the pocket flat towards the scoop. you need to have some pocket up north so that ground balls just roll into the pocket.

does that have lip at all? that looks like it could have major whip. when i go to string up for dpoles, most of the time they want a lower pocket that is completely broken in, and is bagged out. i understand why your pocket might work better, but does that have lip?

I have a cata bag with a rolled v, a rolled u, then a rolled straight, all symetrical (sp?)
i think the symetrical helps the pocket evenly channel the bal
it has smooth release good hold for me at least, and I run the ball up the field a lot, take a lot of checks, and it stays in there
