so im gonna post this in the goalie forum too, to show it off a bit.
if anyone remembers my other job, which i now named the mod-ex pocket...

well, i decided to change it up a bit. the mod-ex already had no whip (mine did because i like a bit in a goalie) very low rebound and a great channel...but the mod-ex v2.0 matches that and more. i just threw with it for like an hour and got some shots in and has NO REBOUND. occasionaly the ball hits the top edge, so theres the only rebound, but you cant prevent that.

as i was saying, NO REBOUND. my friend enlightened me to the idea of making an open sidewall version of my pocket and it worked very well...throws, and saves, and shoots like a dream....heres the pic and the link.

normally id do it with 3 laces and a nylon, but i cant find my other 4 laces...ill try to find them later.

ill think about it...my regular pocket is really close to the regular goal-ex so i dont want to rip them off.

as long as i get an ok from the mods to make it, that it doesnt breech the patented item rule.

if i get the ok here, i might make the tut on laxstore.

someone was just asking me about the name...if it was too close to goal-ex and if i was copying it...answer is no. mod - ex is moderation - extreme...this pocket can be fully customized, just like anyother pocket...but it has built in features as well.

Just wondering, how broken in is it? Because I have had pockets with the same shape that threw perfectly, controlled rebound, and had alot of hold. Then they broke in and had way too much hold, meaning it couldn't throw at all...
But it looks really good at this point.

i will, im still waiting on it.

as for the mesh, it is pretty loose, i might pound a bit more and soak it and then throw again...it should be able to throw. i had an issue like that on another goalie head i strung, i fixed that by fixing the shooters. once i break it in the rebound will definetely be 0, it has a bit now, unlike what i said about none. but if i break it in i figure itll be good to go.

so i know im triple posting...but these are now available for stringing....i got an eclipse from a friend to try it on, and a guardian (hard to do) and they worked fine....i know some people were asking about it, so pm me if your interested in one of my pockets.

thats exactly what i see happening. especially with that wider 12 diamond mesh. that stuff is gonna sag and throw so bad in a matter of time. it happens in tight sidewall strung goalie sticks. having that thing open is only gonna magnify it.

it looks good now though. have fun while it lasts

its actually almost broken in and it throws great...all you have to do is pull in and retie the bottom string closer and it works pretty well as it breaks in.
