hey hows it going. just wanted to throw a question out there. in the past ive got a few sticks strung by lax unlimited and noticed the way they string is totally different from every other way. it looks like they thread the sidewall string throught the mesh then double back. i would like to know if anyone knows exactly how to string it the "lax unlimited" way b/c i find it form extremely consistent pockets. if anyones could make a tut. or just explain the method (especially dubbling up) that would be excellent. danke(thank you in german) ich spreche deutsch, du bist eine dumbkopf( i speak german, you are a dumb-head) jk thanks

i think i know what you mean. they go up the side of the mesh without attaching it to the holes on the sidewall then back down stringing it to the holes but not interlocking the sidewall.

yea i know what you are talking about...thats how i string all my sticks...i may not be able to explain it well but basically half the sidewall string goes in and out of the diamonds and the other half loops it to the sidewall.

i work at lax unlimited i too wondered why noone on the forums strings this way basically on reg. 10d u count down 10 rows of the rows that have 10, u no when the hole seems to be a little smaller and it has all 10 not 9, u weave up the 10 u start from the face side and end up with the string coming out of the face side, pull as tight as possible, put the string through top sidewall hole then go in the diamond closest to the next hole, the string when it goes through the diamond should be on the outside of the weaved lace, follow the previous step for all of the next sidewalls (except on many holed sidewalls like nitrous and most gaits) its ok if u skip holes, u should pull the lace ad much as u cand now make the not at what most likely the 2nd to last hole. also the way we do the bottom string is (for 4 holed bottoms) make a not go through one of the inner holes then back down that sides outside hole. then weave through a 10d row and then mirror the other side to finish up. hope this was helpful

the way in the picture is 10 x's better than interlock.(ik from experience) the interlock doesnt attach the mesh to the head very tightly no matter how tight u string it. the lax unlimited way makes the most consistent pockets

That is the old school way of doing sidewalls. many people say that it does create a more consistant pocket. I've never tried it because interlocking sidewalls have been good to me. :D
