EHSLAX12 is right. There are a LOT of forums just like this one, and those are the same tips that we could give you. But to start you off, I would just work on reaction time, and play lots of wall ball. If you need help with anything else, just PM me. I'm more than happy to help a goalie in need.

I used to get a friend to shoot tennis balls at me. I wouldn't use a stick. The idea is to step at the ball and knock it down with your hands (which you're pretending to hold a stick with). It's a great drill to work on positioning and stepping.

1. Play Wall Ball.
2. if you have a goal in your backyard, or even if you don't pretend you're playing goalie, walk the arc, make the calls, then pretend your being shot at
just to get the repititation of the moves you need to make. because the more and more you do them, the more muscle memory you'll have. it works. i do it everyday.

Walk the line. While the offense is doing shooting, and defense is doing agility. Pick a line on the field and mock step to a shot, stick side high, offstick high. Stick side hip, off stick hip etc. You can even do this at home, you dont really need any eqiupment to do it.

I don't know if this would really help but, one of my coaches made up a thing where we were both facing a wall, and he was a few feet behind me. He would throw balls over my shoulder against the wall and I would have to stop them. It was supposed to help my reaction time I guess.

He probably didnt make that up. I have heard many other places. And yes it really does help your reaction time. He might have told you this, but in this drill dont react until it hits the wall. it will only be your loss if you dont

Throw off a wall and perfect motions, i throw at a wall on my house and the ball is going about 2 mph but the thing is I focus on the technique and i step to it, and because i do that when the shots are 70, ill have the same tecnique as the 2 because ive done it so many times. The other thing is just grab some friends that can rip, SET THE SHOOTING DISTANCE AND SPOT!!!!! Attackers will get gready and get in close and youll end up getting beaten up and pissed!but challenge yourelf to your limit.
There are 2 drills i stress on these days:
That tennis ball drill is great also to learn how to step. Take a shaft with no head on it, and you can even have your mom toss them, but step and punch it out with the stick. Because there is no head, you will have to step to get the shaft there, it helps alot.
Second is called "Rapid Fire"
A coach sets up about 5-8 balls and lines them up. You have to obviously try to stop them, and get ready and set for the next one. Your coach scoops the ball and shoots it on you, you svae and he does this quick, HE WILL NOT WAIT FOR YOU TO BE READY THAT IS THE CHALLENGE. The coach should shoot it mid in a real close distance rather than rip from out on ths drill, because he wants it to go as fast as posible so its better mid at 5 yards. Challenging drill but great.
Other than that run, pass a ton, watch tapes and colege goalies and look at their postioning etc. Hope this helps and mods please make one of these a sticky like the gear one, there about 5 threads on drills!

I know you guys are going to think this is stupid, but I know a guy who used to take his goalie atick and a short one to a batting cage, instead of hitting he caught, but they were hardball, not softball. One thing though, don't go near the pro cage (speed wise), those hardballs did damage to his mesh pretty quick, but he said it worked...

yeah even if you know where its going, you can just work on getting your stick there faster, but dont be stupid where a cp and helmet those ball machienes arnt 100% accurate and you dont want to catch a 90 or 100 in your stumach throat or face it would be killer
