hey all, i'm interested in moving to England after I graduate from high school. i want to live in or around Manchester and attend a university there, can anyone show me a good uni in Manchester, or something similar to a community college*.
* a community college is a college where people usually go for 2 years, then they transfer to a real university. they do this because they dont have good grades from high school and they still want to go to college.
cheers

There are 3 unis Salford, Manchester and Manchester Metro all depends on your course you want to do which one you go to...
There are no uni teams but there are tons of clubs around manchester.
The ELA offer a LDO job placement where you play for a team around manchester and coach in local schools and you get a place to live a car and a salary.. However you wouldnt have time to study..

there are only really 2 schools u wanna go to here (manchester university and manchester metropolitan university) both of them have great websites with pages of info for 'international students' so just chesk out the websites and drop them an email, they'll do most of the work after that.

Wacs 1st team (senior Mens Lax) are currently 2nd in the Premiership and they have an A team in the 1st div, B team in the 2nd Div and C team in the 3rd (high standard for all teams), the U19's are currently Top of the league and have already won the Ted Donnet Trophy this season. Last year Wacs teams where in 3 Senior finals & also the U16 & U19 final (U19's won).

Also the closest to a Community College is:
probably :http://www.camsfc.ac.uk/info1/789/
They have two former England Coaches and usually a very good team (better than other Uni or College teams).
They also have a exchange program with www.crossroadslax.com from around your way, try and get on a tour and that way you can try it all out before you come over.
