take on the terps this year

i love maryland and i think that there gonna have a great team this season but does neone see them going to the ncaa finals or even making the playoffs without joe walters? i mean he wasnt the WHOLE team but he was a very large part of the success of offensive and i think the Umass game proved that (he didnt get any points they lost)

not only losing joe walters but brendan healy,bill mcGlone, and i think one of the ritz brothers which between the 4 of them had just about every goal last season so now they have a completely new middie line and on attack they have the other ritz brother whose a great player, and mike phipps whose a great playmaker but not know for his scoring so much so offense terps will have to prove themselves but their defense is awesome and they have one of the best goalies in college in ym mind harry alford so you really cant predict what will happen for them this year they will have to work hard to score goals and cant afford to get into a shooting match with another team they will have to play good defense to win alot of games and make it back to the playoffs

I see them making the playoffs, but not the Championship there are just too many other good teams out there. And not having Joe Walters is a pretty big hole to fill.

I'm a terps fan too, and see them having another impressive season. Even without Walters and the other seniors, they are still a top caliber team. I don't think they'll make the championship, but I'd say the final eight or four is reachable.

yeah, marylands big four combined for over 100 of thier goals. i think they are going to be pretty bad this year actually.

Terps are going to have to get some new faces to step it up this year.

Those current Terps have like some size 20's to fill. It will be hard for them to make it, but I think the defense will really step it up this year and do a fantastic job.

They will make it to the semis or final but lose...
Virginia is just going to do too good this year, along with Georgetown and NC.

I highly doubt it. Their newer players are going to have to step up big time, and I didn't see any spectacular defense last year to say they have that going strong for them. I say their gone first round.

And Hopkins, Cuse, and Princeton will definitely be there in front of Georgetown and NC. I'm seeing a Hopkins, Cuse, Princeton and Virginia final 4, with Navy somewhere in the mix as well.

i also see navy in there...and im going to be interested in what happens to hofstra after losing almost every starter. i wouldve put them in top contention but losing ianucci as well as basically the entire team is big.

princeton and maryland and virginia will probably be the top teams this year...but if not maryland becasue of their big losses, hopkins will definetely be in there.

im also curious to see what happens with the "new" duke squad.

Maybe they will pull a UMASS :agree:. Seriously though, I agree with you. They lost a lot of good seniors, and (while they finally got a few good freshmen) won't be able to compete with a team like Syracuse or Johns Hopkins. Although a game with Duke would be quite interesting.
