MLL in Canada?

This may of been asked already but I wouldnt know as Im new here, but is there any chance of the MLL expanding to Canada?

No one really knows where the MLL will expand next but it is possible. We do have some I dea where it will expand next but nothing is deffinate. SO yeah there is a chance, not a very good one but a chance.

it could but you never now cause canada is more of the box league but it would be asum if i did

As said it is a possibility, but I doubt it, I think they are going to stick to NLL and the US is going to stick to the MLL.

MLL will go where the money is. If some Toronto businessman thinks owning an outdoor lacrosse team is a great idea, MLL will be running towards him.

It may expand to Canada, but I really can't see it drawing very well once it gets here......tier 2 pro sports have NEVER done well in Toronto.

Granted, lacrosse is an exception to that rule, but NLL box is a far more viewer-friendly and familiar version of lacrosse to Canadians than field laX.

Summer season is a tough sell too. With OLA Major and Senior box, masters, and minor seasons all running at the same time as MLL, I know most of the lacrosse people wouldn't get to many if any MLL games. The casual fans are a tough sell too - they're all out enjoying the summer on weekend nights.

Hell i would make the trip to Toronto for a saturday or sunday afternoon game. I really should make the effort and go to Rochester next summer for a game there.

But like rockstar mentioned above we have so much lacrosse going on during the summer that may not get the fans going to these games. The NLL Field league would be a different situation though.

Yes as Triton said. Jim jennings has said they were researching a NLL outdoor league for 12 months and will be coming out with a answer in the future (he said this a year ago) He was saying that there would be a out door league and indooor league for the same teams and players soo that they can play full time under one umbrella(which is the NLL)I am pretty sure it would do pretty good. People alwasy think feild lax isn't big in canada. That isn't true, it's not as big as the states i know but it is still fairly big and popular. The Box fans would hear about this and would want to watch. And someoen said that people would rather enjoy there summer soem otehr way. Well what better other way than to wathc some exciting lacrosse. Why do you think people watch sports. To enjoy them selves!
