Heres the low down, I had a friend of mine string up some sticks and he did them both the same but im having some problems. So i am used to playing with a stick with little whip and minimal hold. Now i got myself a stick with great hold and a decent amount whip but it seems like its getting caught on a shooter. Personally i think its the way he did the top string, I mean it throws ok but wen i ame high one a net it always hits a lot lower then it should and its bugging me. I think theres somthing wrong with the top string. Let me no what you think

the top string is actually done right, but your top shooting strings are too tight

it actually looked like the U shooter was a tad bit too tight and that might be wat its getting caught on

The topstring is fine, it helps remove lip by raising the mesh up.

ya gigo is right about the lip, and just loosen all of the shooters

Yea, the U looks like its causing the whip. Shame you want to change it, it looks nice.
Is that a regular evo or a Pro?

i think its the U, try undoing the U and putting in a straight shooter

well you said your used to playing with minimal whip and a small amount of hold, and now you've switched to a stick with more whip and more hold so in otherwords your not used to throwing or shooting with whip
but i suggest un tying the shooters and then playing wallball with them and tweaking your pocket until it throws how you like it and then you can tie them off

Top strings fine, Evo Pro's often have lip and he realized this and went about fixing it. Say thanks.
The shooters just, don't look that nice, they are all pretty tight, so I suggest undoing the knots on the 2nd shooter and the U, and playing wall ball untill you like how it throws..

yea its the shooters, they are a tad bit to tight. it should be safe and realtively easy to loosen them a little.
on a side note, i think the top string was a really smart idea. can you post some close-ups of the topstring, id like to know how to do that? thanks.

yea another thing you can try is taking the U out and moving it down a row of diamond and maybe making it more diamonds across. thats what i do with all my sticks and they all have minimal whip. but make sure you loosen all the shooters up.

The topstring is fine, actually done very well. Loosen up that U shooter, maybe roll it.
