just wondering what kind of stick bags you guys use?
mine is made by stx & i got it advantage in burke for $30. i loveeee it. it's navy blue, black, & silver, and it's one of those "sling pack" things. i would provide a link, but i don't think they make them anymore, 'cause it's not on the stx site.
i have 5 lanyards hanging from it - all of them i got for free. :D a plain stx one, an stx women's lacrosse one, a new jersey pride one [why they gave our POTOMAC team nj lanyards i have no idea], a uslacrosse one, & a debeer one .. which isn't really a lanyard but a thing to clip your keys on.

i have the plain old stx stick bag, black. but lately i haven't really used it, beucase i take one of those nike sling bags , and put all my gear in there, and just carry my stick. but yea.. i'm thinking i should get a slingbag made for lacrosse, so i have a place to stash my stick. the old stx stick bag can't fit like cleats and such, so you edn up carrying 2 bags! i'll have to check out advantage and see if they still have the stx ones. i'm pretty sure they have th ones by brine tho. lol, yea i have a TON of lanyards lying all over the place. a lot of college lacrosse lanyards like 14 of them, that they send to me w/ college info, stx ones (3) a few of those MLL teams which i just jacked from advantage one day, cuz no one wanted them! its like a lacrose thing to hang lanyards from ur bag! cuz a bunch of our girls do it!

I love the new lax bags they've put out over the past two years. This years look even better. UA is putting one out *drool...you know me!* and Warrior is making a Mini Jet Pak 2--I'm so on that one. Those are the two I really want. Right now I have just the original STX navy blue lacrosse one that I got for like my birthday or something a loooooong time ago. I think I left it at my lake house though over the summer so I dont have it :( An excuse to tell mom to buy a new one though!

Forgot to mention hanging lanyards is the thing to do. I had a ton on my stx bag which is why I'm dissapointed. Now that I'm in Boston though and there are so many colleges I'll just start collecting more :) I had some nice free ones on it though.

hey, i'm new to all this and need a bag for all that gear i just bought and it sounds like u guys seem to prefer the sling packs over pretty much everything else. I personally was lookin at a stick bag i could put all my crap in...kinda like the warrior delux one, but i was wondering if it was really worth it....and a lot more space than i'd need...would i be better off with a sling pack?

Depends on how much equiptment you have. But basically, you don't need anything big. The sling works well because it holds your stick and all your stuff conveniently. Anything else will usually be too big, and not worth it. But if you carry a lot, a smaller, bigger bag, might be right for you.

Or would you suggest something entirely different? Thanks, I'm planning to order this weekend.

I think either of those bags would be great. Something tells me I should invest in a bag similiar to one of those, being as right now I have a very old STX plain black bag which I recently broke the zipper pull on (which I replaced with a ribbon).
The only thing that bothers me about these types of bags (the sling packs) is that they are so expensive. I cut a hole in my old backpack and seem to have the same results...plenty of space, holes to stash the stick, plus additional pockets...So if your willing to shell out the money, I suppose either of these would be awesome.

Yeah, they are a tad bit expensive, I think we have two at my house though becasue my sis and I have gotten them for free. I know one is wrecked, and my sis uses the other one or I would send one to you. They are pretty nice, she fits her cleats goggles, some naasty mouth peices and her jersy in there along with her stick.

Oh, the price doesn't really matter for me. In your opinion, which bag/style do you like better--warrior (http://www.bacharach.com/products/1469) or stx (http://www.bacharach.com/products/2640)? I'd like help in deciding. :)

I'm interested in perhaps getting one of the sling packs, but I was wondering if you guys know of any bags that can hold cleats as well as the usual (eye guard, mouthguard, balls, gloves, etc.)

The STX is really cute in person, this girl on my team just got it...it looked a bit smaller than I had imagined but it still seemed to hold necessary objects.
As for bags that hold cleats, I have not come across one of these sling packs that do not have room to hold cleats (well, I personally have never owned one, but I have a slew of teammates who collect them, they have always brought their cleats along in these bags.) And my "mock" sling pack (my cut up backpack ) has always held everything I've needed!

I grabbed a warrior zephyr for xmas, it's a piece of junk. I use it to carry my sticks for practice as well as my binder and play/drill book. Cheap feel, crappy materials....wouldn't recomend it to anyone. The underarmor one for baseball seems like it would work just fine for lacrosse....instead of bats, put in sticks...seems to be adjustable so wouldn't be an issue of sliding around. Anyone have first hand experience?

Check out the UA lacrosse one. It has a place to put your sticks and a pull out mat to sit on.
I got a black STX bag but not I don't know where it is...sheesh. Anyway I just bought a navy UA duffle. This things is OFF THE SHIZZLE. I would reccomend it over any Adidas, Nike, whatever duffle bag.
